but it needs to be played properly, put in the hands of a real fan, not a shill. behringer stuff has no equal so they can actually get away with total dweebs "demoing" their gear. my favourite is the infamous italian syth guru who excelled at one hour of clueless knob twiddling in this video. his f...

Scored this brand new for $279.00. I figured what the hell. I actually like the sound of this emulation and will use the Trigger Out on the front panel quite extensively. It will be friends with Grids and others. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/1267_book_20.jpg Also got this for cheap. G...

I just want the Pro One, really looking forward to it. Can't wait to do some proper demos of it, I know it's been sent out to certain youtubers, but it needs to be played properly, put in the hands of a real fan, not a shill.

Ok I'm going for the Elektron Analogue 4, I've owned 4, funny enough, but have not got on with it, I was going to say it sounds bad, but I'd rather say shite, too much menu diving, weak sounds, and just encourages the 4x4 monotonous techno crap that anyone could do. Has a cool sequencer but it only ...

Dr Hyde

This was my first time using doctor Hyde, so I used it on the MS-101 and did backing with the Impulse command.

Made this one really early in the morning as I could not sleep :tu:

So, what is the verdict ? MS101 or SH01A ? Which one is sonically closest to the original ? This question will never get a definitive answer and is to put it politely pointless. It's how you use it and the enjoyment you take from it that matters, not how close you can come to imitating a sound wher...

I ran the 101 through the Mr Hyde FX box in this one, subtle percussion and lead are from the Impulse Command. I clocked and transposed and modulated the 101 and Impulse Command from Generator Sequencers. So just 2 synths and 1 FX box this time. Then I just...

Nothing aimed at you, just at the attitude that high end products only appeal to snobs. I encountered that sort of inverted snobbery a lot in the ITM community directed at anyone whose tin whistle cost more than £2.00, or against people who could actually read music or had any sort of musical train...

I had a Novation Bass station 3 times (2x keyboard 1x rack)! Each time i thought i could get past the annoying thing of having two envelopes controlled by one set of knobs. Say what you see!

Ok this thread is for calling out stuff you have played with and rejected and why? Or for stuff you have not played with and why? You have to be more in depth for not using it so why?

Right, I gave in, and got myself a black one: Midi bugs have been ironed. My humble opinion (and i know the original very, very well. Had a few of them since the 80s. The PWM calibration is weird. Not bad but not exactly like the original 101. You can easily get there tho. The filter is not dead on...

The improvement in quality of the 1248’s converters have made me a lot more comfortable routing audio back out of the DAW and through external effects during mixing - something I rarely did with the 828MkII. Consequentially, I’ve been thinking for a long time about adding one or two MOTU 16A units ...

A few new uploads, some strange, some laments

I did this one with the DSI Rev 2 , Nyborg 24 and Fusebox. I wanted to do something to try out the strings etc on the Rev 2 so this seemed to fit the bill. Bit of a lament though :hihi: Some Depeche mode with a bit...

Impulse Command and Generator (Minimal)

I didn't go bat shit crazy with the IC in this one as I wanted to show it can be used in a normal mono synth musical sense and put out nice tones as well as do crazy fx and modulations.

Transposed it from the Generator Sequencer
