Re: New intellijel wavefolder/crossfader: bifold

How is it for wave folding CV? It works great. I wasn’t fond of using my uFold II for CV, simply because wavefolding introduces a very specific character to a wave, and it was a bit too regular/predictable for my tastes. With the Bifold’s two channels and Mix output, however, one can get some very ...

Re: Maximum S&H / hp ?

I had the same question. Recently I've discovered that my 2hp dual S+H modules droop very fast, whereas the ones in Stages do not. I have four 2hp dual S&H. Droop is a feature, not a bug, as far as I'm concerned. Also have stages and often use it as six S&H. https://pugix.com/synth/pod-64...

Re: nonlinearcircuits NLC 2020 modules

Just to clarify my earlier post: I love having 1U modules that break out Andrew's low level design elements, like Sloth, Signum and Diff-Rect. Any more that he wants to make, I will gladly buy. I'm not quite as interested in more fully-featured 1U modules, as I tend to buy those in 3U format.

Re: nonlinearcircuits NLC 2020 modules

The PiLLs looks awesome as a crazy sound generator, but I was thinking more of something that would play in the same territory as the Doepfer module - a PLL that can be built into other patches. But maybe I misunderstand the PiLLs and it is possible to patch it in such a way that one can use one of ...

Re: nonlinearcircuits NLC 2020 modules

I love being able to get NLC goodness in 1U packages. Andrew, any interest in breaking out a PLL in 1U format, the same way you made Signum and DiffRect available? I've been enjoying patching my own chaotic/nonlinear maps and am on the lookout for small, computationally interesting modules.

Re: Ieaskul F. Mobenthey in 2020

I have a full IFM case, too, with two Swoops. Some things I added include a 2hp S+H, a Geiger Counter (for turning some of those bounds-bounce triangles into funky shapes), an MSCL compressor (because I like audio feedback patching), a handful of Landscape AllFlesh, some homemade piezo inputs, and a...

Re: Metabolic Devices - Coherence

Has anyone drawn a block diagram of this module? Using the documentation and videos, I can sort of figure out how it uses switches, window comparator, s+h, and clock divider but I don't have access to one to play with.

Re: Block Diagrams

I recently needed to draw a lot of block diagrams on the Mac, and was delighted to discover Runway. At $10 it is a fraction of the cost of the better known contenders and is very easy to use. (I have no affiliation with the creator; just a happy customer). http://celestialteapot.com/runway/ Hmm... ...

Re: Xaoc Jena, Drezno, Lipsk: Leibniz Binary Subsystem update!

Can anyone with TWO drezno/lipsk modules shed some light on the practical applications of having multiple modules? I feel like two dreznos would open up a lot of opportunities that it's quite hard to imagine without actually trying it... anyone been there? I had two Drezno modules at one point. I u...

Re: Xaoc Jena, Drezno, Lipsk: Leibniz Binary Subsystem update!

My hope is that the next Leibniz subsystem module will do something funky in the time domain. That is solely based on getting some intriguing results with gate delay modules like Propagate.

I currently have a system that looks a lot like this, minus Belgrad. I love it. There is so much to explore with the interactions between the Leibniz subsystem, Zadar and Batumi. I have had Drezno+Lipsk since they came out, and am still learning new things to do with them. Jena makes the whole Leibn...

Re: WMD Geiger C vs T-Wrex

The Geiger Counter is an awesome Eurorack module. If I had to make a desert island case with only three modules, I would choose Geiger Counter, a compressor like MSCL, and a complicated effects module (Rainmaker, Morphagene, Clouds, Tapographic Delay, or something like that). Just feed the output of...

My Jena sometimes sticks if I have been using CV (especially on the phase input). I have to power up to clear it.
