Three ring modulators

Just a very brief patch to demo the three ring mods currently in my setup, the Make Noise Moddemix, the ring mod in the Analogue Solutions VCO-Ring Mod-module and a passive DIY ring mod based on Ken Stone's Real Ring Modulator design. The patch is identical apart from the choice of ring mod and prim...

I have Doepfer blank plates, but they only do 1, 2, 4, 8 and 42HP as far as I can tell. Well, I guess could always hook two 8HP together with some kind of bracket or cut a 42 one in smaller pieces, but I don't really have the tools to do that in a good way.

Of which i'm gonna use for DIY something?

That's kind of what I was looking for, but would preferably need a European supplier.

i use front panel express. it is comfprtable, but expensive. you want it cheap? then buy blank eurorack panels and drill yourself. labeling could be done with dymo (then you would get the pittsburg look, hehe), or what about ...errr... i don't know the english word for it. german would be a "schlag...

Modular Christmas Music

I kind of felt there wasn't enough seasonal kosmische industrial ambient noise kind of records around. So I made this today. It's two Christmas songs. Kind of. The first one uses a cowbell as lead sound for the first half of it, which seemed appropriate. Bells, jingling ones ... you know. The second...

Radikal Elektronik

A little track I did yesterday. The lead lines are from the Juno-106 and Juno-6. The drums are from the Monotribe run through the Monotron Delay and a Mini KP2. The bass is two Analogue Solutions VCO:s run through an A-102 diode filter. The whole thing is sequenced from the AS Europa sequencer that'...

Have put up a new album on bandcamp today. An industrial ambient contemplation on England's roman past, when I feel pretentious. Lot's of delayed synth drones and bits, if you want the more prosaic version.

Lots of SP-808 on that first track ... it does have a sweet FX section for a nineties "Groove"-machine ...

On The Black Hit of Space it's probably distortion added in the mix you're thinking of, an overloaded desk channel or something. I remember reading that the track were supposed to sound a lot less distorted but were mixed on inadequate speakers and turned out far more aggressive than intended. Don't...

I've synced Reason with my AS Europa sequencer by sending a single pulse out from a synth in Reason to a Doepfer A-119 (to get the right level of the signal) and then taking the gate out from the A-119 into the Europas Sync In. Kind of primitive but works in a studio-environment. Wouldn't want to us...

Just saw this now. Half a year ago I actually stole one of my wifes combs and started using it as a cable organizer. But that was just because I couldn't figure out where to buy a real one ... With it's slightly leopardy pattern it makes a lovely tacky addition to the studio corner, however.

The Sea Devils is one of my all time Dr Who faves. Had a chance to visit Isle of Wight recently, where parts of the episode was shot. Walked along the seafront just opposite the fortress and was going to put on Malcolm Clarkes soundtrack on the iPod, but for some reason the iPod had chosen not to sh...

I had a similar experience visiting the store in Berlin last year. I only had an hour to spare, though ... Had a nice chat with Andreas and some of the other guys and tried out parts of the eurorack setup they sent to the Short Circuit event at the Roundhouse in London. I walked away from there with...

Free EP on Bandcamp

Put up my free four track Sequencer EP on Bandcamp yesterday. The tracks were recorded between 2010 and 2011 and were made using my Eurorack 9U, DSI Mopho, Roland Juno-106 and -6 and th AS Europa sequencer recorded in to Reason and only some spatial effects, crossfading and panning done in the digit...

I bought one of those $5 MIDI-to-USB cables on Amazon, and the iPad camera kit, and connected them to my iPad and to my MOTM-650, (5U MIDI/CV converter module). I then downloaded the "Little MIDI Machine" app, "swiped" a few buttons and knobs and now my iPad is controlling my modular. Marvelous. Un...

Swedish Bank holiday morning jam

Just a little patch consisting of Maths, Vulcan Modulator, A-149-1, A-102, A-106-6 played with a simple pattern of triggers from the Analogue Solutions Europa. Recorde in Logic with some slight delay added.

Fuck Up Evil is a timeless album. Is it just me or does this album and 'evil off' sound really bad? I like the tracks quite a bit, but they sound super-trebley and are hard to listen to. Like a different "loudness war" type issue. I definetely agree that they sound weird, as does practically everyt...

I've just released my first album as AB Lundberg as a download through Bandcamp. Lots of eurorack modular and other analog gear on it. Slightly neo kosmische tinted electronic synth wave drone stuff if you want some kind of label on it.
