So I am guessing you just tuned it to C4 since it couldn't reach C5? (Or did you just do yours via voltage?)

Thinking on that; I bought mine pre-built, maybe I don't need to bother with calibration.
Yeah, I just tuned to C4. If it's pre-built, you're probably fine.

NLC Plague of Demons is really feature-rich and a relatively easy build if you're okay with SMD.

Just to double check because it's not 100% clear from this thread, but is the M185 only available as a full kit, or is there also a PCB and panel option?

Re: Erica Synths DIY opensource

I've just finished building two EG's (v2.2) and nothing is happening when I plug either one in - no leds, no output, etc. Here's a pic of the one. Any idea what could be going wrong? As they're both not working I'm assuming it's a component mistake. PS: The pots don't look soldered but they are - I ...

Re: QU-BIT chord V2 / WMD Arpitecht similarities?

They're very different modules. The Chord is a digital sound source that outputs various types of 3-4 note chords, with control over inversions and so on. The Arpitecht generates complex arpeggio CV's from simple inputs (including chord CV if you use the Triad expander), but it doesn't make sound by...

The EX is currently shipping with Kingston Canvas Select Plus 32GB cards.

Thanks os, I'll give that card a try. A reformat of my current card does seem to have helped a bit in the interim.

Re: Expert Sleepers disting EX

Hey all, two SD card questions: 1) What make of SD card is currently recommended? I've got one of the old janky cards and I'm getting a lot of glitching in multisample mode. Would a Sandisk Extreme Pro (U3) 64gb be overkill? ( https://www.incredible.co.za/sandisk-extreme-pro-micro-sdxc-64gb-a2-class...

Re: Temps Utile, swing/shuffle

I did initiate a brief conversation about TU swing in another thread (the DIY one I think) and from my understanding some of the functionality is there already in the phase code, but after taking a look at the repo I've realised I lack the coding chops to modify the firmware. I'd love to have a TU w...

Re: Doepfer A-178 Theremin antenna... kinda flimsy ??

I have this problem with both my A-178's (both BNC). They don't really tighten enough and occasionally while I'm playing they start drooping. It's not a deal-breaker, but it is mildly annoying.

I've had a v.2 Dervish breadboarded that has a load of extra features over the v.1 including some i've not seen on any other fv-1 module. I just need to work up the enthusiasm to lay out prototype PCBs. Oooh! I think there'd be a fair bit of interest in something like that. DIY euro FX options are ...

Re: Beyond Generative: Seven months with one patch!

Yes Aragorn 23, I’m using the newer Maths that has the run/stop gate in so I simply set the threshold on the Doepfer antenna gate outs. It’s cool to step away from the rack and have everything fade out. I didn’t want the vibrato to be constantly influencing the pitch as in a regular Theremin so I s...

Re: [closed] µDervish 8HP FV-1 FX

It's failing the initial static voltage check. There's some suggestions at the start of the debug section for voltage checks that fail. I assume the other end of the diodes is those voltages plus the ~600mV drop. It'd be useful to know that. And what are the other static testpoint voltages on the u...

I've just built another uDervish (my third!) and everything is working except for the CV and CV pots, none of which are responsive. I've done some volt...

Re: temps_utile / 6 x clock generator [build thread etc]

The vaguest possible hint is "in APP_CLK.ino in the Update function" There are some clues that it already exists though -- the menu parameter "phase %" is labelled CHANNEL_SETTING_SWING internally and is used as "get_phase", which eventually leads to here , but there might be some pieces mis...

Re: temps_utile / 6 x clock generator [build thread etc]

Hey all. I was wondering how difficult it would be to modify the temps utile firmware to include shuffle/swing as part of the internal clock - either just a single global swing setting that affects all the channels or individual channel swing. Most of my coding has been for web stuff and a bit of Ar...

This is phenomenal! I'm already figuring out what to move out of my performance case so I can put my two theremins back in... Two quick questions. 1) How exactly are you switching the Maths cycling off and on? Is it via the gate output on the A-178? 2) I'm not 100% clear on how you're managing to ch...

I've seen some 100% modular stuff from him that's pretty wild. Yeah. So, just start with the RD setup and build from there. ;) Okay, this is t...
