Re: Glitch Storm: A DIY Bitranger-Bytebeasque-Chiptunethingo

I’m very got all my materials together to do this build. I don’t see any power supply circuitry here. The schematic just shows +5v and ground. Do you just power this from the USB? If I wanted to add a eurorack power connector what would I use? Can anyone point out a Schematic showing what a typical ...

Re: Mutable Instruments Plaits

I got Plaits (a clone) last year and used it a little, the experience was meh. I just turned the knobs and figured I’d intuit everything. Last night I got the manual out and work through all of the settings. I’m getting a much better appreciation for this module. It’s deeper than it appears on the s...

Re: Piston Honda MKIII dual morphing wavetable oscillator

I’m having a problem with the FM CV. If I tuning the knob it sounds like FM. If I feed a CV into the FM CV input it doesn’t sound the same, even when I set FM CV o-toon in the settings menu.

I think this case seems to be the best all round one to start with, Intellijel https://intellijel.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Palette-62-dual-tilted-side.jpg But how can just a case with a powersupply cost $300 ?! I have one of these, can’t say enough good things about it. The only issue is that...

Re: Improving HP Effectiveness

I feel like I’ve been here and now am backing off from buying modules with more features in the smallest footprint. Smaller is smaller not necessarily better, while you can get more modules in your case if the knobs are too close together maybe it’s not as playable. The same thing can happen when al...

Re: Separating sources by band

I wonder if you could do this with 4MS SMR? It’s got 6 bands, you can’t tune them individually but you can spread them around a 20 note scale. SMR is one of the most misunderstood modules. You can set (and lock) both the frequency and resonance for each band. So you have 6 bandpass filters--and you...

The Serge Resonant Equalizer might also work. It’s got 10 bands that are tuned you can’t change the tuning only the level for each.

I tried your sound cloud and the link was broken!

I figured this was the thread for discussing the sounds of gongs and giant bells a sort of one stop shop!

Re: Rings/Elements - inharmonic sounds, glass, wood, gongs, etc?

This thread is a request for demos, mostly. I'm interested in the inharmonic territories Rings and Elements can get into, especially involving large, low, non-pitched bell/gong sounds. I want to synthesize concrete/acousmatic-like sounds for electroacoustic pieces. I'm interested in exploring the s...

I’ve built many guitar pedals and ma familiar with Eagle PCB. I want to get started building Eurorack stuff. I need a parts library does someone have a link? Speaking of which where do you source parts?

I might give KiCAD a try. If someone ha a link to resources for that pass those along!

Re: Befaco Instrument Interface - Opinions?

I'm gonna bumb this, got this old version any did try to connect my guitar directly. The gain knob is too silent for my taste... the env does not trigger enough. So I'd like to boost it by modifying the internal gain. Anybody done that to that module? I guess I could go through the guitar amp first...

Re: Rene V2, Playability & the Evolution of Make Noise

I think the complexity, digital menu driven, and secret button combos are all a result of HP limits. Everyone wants more but can only fit so much in the cases they have. Cases are expensive. If HP wasn’t a factor I think we’d all go for individual knobs for each function. With a limit on your HP bud...

Perfect match for hard hitting tones. You can't go wrong with those modules. Processing them thru effects and distortion make them ev...

Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper

as for commercial sample packs (many of which are 44KHz - pretty much the standard), you should convert them to 48KHz, otherwise bitbox has to convert them in real time to 48KHz when processing the files, this adds to latency and/or might give you fewer voices since it's taxing the CPU. ...and don'...

Re: Recommend combo reverb delay

Good questions. I think I just need reverb and delay with no modulation or CV just something end of chain. Stereo in and out would be nice. So clouds might be good, especially since I would it have to buy anything new.

Re: Recommend combo reverb delay

These are all great suggestions, thanks. This gives me a lot of research. Something that just occurred to me is Clouds. I have one of these I could put at the end of the chain. It has reverb, I think there is a delay mode in there also.
