Re: Xaoc Devices Sarajewo: Syncable Analog Delay Line prototype

£400 minus VAT == £333 == $430 Generally Signal Sounds minus VAT is comparable to US retail. If that is true, then I don't see why the price would give anyone pause. Someone above mentioned other delays on the market (Make Noise, 4MS, Alright Devices). But when I look around, the Make Noise and 4MS...

Re: How many modules outside your rack?

I have about 12 modules outside of the rack. 4-5 of them are up for sale. I think it's good, up to a certain point, to have extra modules. It's helpful to have extra utilities to swap in and out to meet certain needs. But at a certain point you'll find there is stuff on the shelf that's just never u...

Re: What would you use to complete/modify this 4U 104hp rack?

Takaab 3LFO - simple, three LFOs in 6HP, use Maths to spice them up What do you mean? Maths has a mixer, attenuverters, and it's own looping envelope generators. You can, for example, mix/attenuate/invert two LFOs running at different rates to get a more complex shape from the SUM out. There's all ...

Ok, wow I didn't realize that thing had a bunch of LFO outputs. That is pretty rad.

Re: What would you use to complete/modify this 4U 104hp rack?

Are you planning on sending modulation into the rack from a DAW (or something else) via the PolyEnd? If not, I think you have a lot of modulation inputs and not nearly enough modulation sources. A few suggestions: Pons Asinorum - quad envelope w/ variable shape and looping Takaab 3LFO - simple, thre...

Re: Do I really need a quad VCA to start?

A couple of things: 1. The Erica Black Quad VCA is only for audio (the newest version actually gives you 1 channel that will work with CV), so if you plan on using VCAs to control your modulators, avoid it. 2. If you go with the Happy Nerding, then in the future realize that you need more VCAs, you ...

Re: Good Panning Mixer?

What is you minimum channel requirement (stereo and mono)? I'd recommend the Qu-Bit Mixology if you can get away with the extra 10 HP and only 4 mono channels. It's similar to the PanMix, but you get simultaneous CV over panning, level, and FX send, and clickless mutes/solo per channel. Run that int...

Re: Need Ideas for Routing/Switching FX

Check out Qu-bit Mixology. 4 channels w/ clickless mutes, send/return, panning, all voltage controllable, cheaper and smaller than the Befaco and WMD mixers. I love mine. https://www.modulargrid.net/e/qu-bit-el ... x-mixology

Re: Sequencer Recommendations

Interesting. I haven't been able to find that much info on the Bindubba so I appreciate the input. It definitely looks like a similar layout to the Z8000 (I confess that I just assumed it would be similar), but good to know about the clock stuff. More thinking to do. May just pull trigger on Step F...

Re: Sequencer Recommendations

I think I have decided to go for the NLC Bindubba. It does seem to share a good bit of functionality with the Z8000 and I really like the other NLC stuff that I have (I like the other Tiptop stuff I have too though, actually). Thanks to all for the input! I always thought the BIndubbba was a bit mo...

Re: Sequencer For VCA control

Originally I though the voltage block would do the job, but it appears all 8 channels will share the same clock rate. Not true. Each channel can have a different clock division. The catch is that (obviously) you can only see one clock rate at a time. If you hold Shift, then select a channel, you wi...

OP might want to look at Zlob LFO/VCO options. Pretty sure all of his stuff is analogue:

Re: Announcing: Ellis // Livestock // Precision Macro Controller

As mildly irritated as I am by companies suddenly switching their colour schemes, get a grip, man. Are there any/any users that have come here from a Voltage Block ? I'd love to know how your experiences differ, pro and cons? Just from looking, VB looks like it has more of a musical feel but isn't ...

Some of the Random*Source euro serge are designed like this too - SSG, NTO, and Stereo Mixer in particular.
Right angle patch cables help a lot with this too, especially when your case is flat on the desk.

Maybe I can get this sound with the 2op FM from my microfreak and find a passive/powered LPG to send to it? thoughts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezbzw5dcDtM You could get t...
