And then normal the outputs so that if only one output is used , it actually is the mix. Shouldn’t that be possible?

Re: disting mk4 firmware announcement thread

Just a quick note: when updating the firmware and Disting doesn't ask for confirmation, it probably means it was unable to read the microSD card. That is exactly what happens if the card is too big (for instance, "64GB" doesn't work. 32GB does).

Thanks, but sorry to say I have no idea what that could be. I am using the Focusright Clarett 8pre via thunderbolt from my Mac; and from the Clarett to Es-3 lightpipe. Focusright control gives me no settings for these "route through" channels. So it can only be Logic itself. I have no idea. Are any ...

That is in fact the case, I have had the fader in -4DB as it was "in the red" otherwise. To get to 1.25V I need to have the fader at +2db, which I still find strange, but ok, it works. So thanks for pointing it out.

ES-3 only 0.4V for SW Sync Clock signal

I noticed that my clock signal out from ES-3 via SW Sync is only 0.4V. That seems very low. Various other HW seems to work with 1.25V as a high signal. The low clock output from ES-3 causes problems with syncing some of my HW, namely my Koma Komplex. I have found no specs regarding what output volta...

Ah!!! Same problem here. I hate it. Only way I can get out of it is turning off my whole system. Seriously I am starting to think about alternatives. VB is pretty crappy for most of the stuff I want to do. It’s hard to do melodic stuff because the slider range is so big, it is non-intuitive, and it ...

The doepfer vintage knobs would be sweet, they are perfect.. they are plastic collared and are just a bit too tight to go on, they would need to be drilled out, but would be perfect. I just pulled one of these knobs off my Doepfer A-138 "Vintage". They don't fit onto the DFAM, and I don't think dri...

Thanks Alyseum for taking feedback into consideration. I have been a product manager for more than a decade, I know that side of product development very well. My biggest gripe is that you don't know what you want (no offence, that is entirely normal in PD). If you call a product RECORD, then its fi...

Some observations from my side * how do you set the date on the player? Right now file dates are set to sometime in 2060s, which I am not happy about * on my Mac, I was unable to make MP3 recordings work. I now recorded OGG which worked but the signal seems very hot. I will need to further reduce th...

while you wait, why not build your own DFAM.

It is called modular for a reason. You already have all the modules you need. Don't believe me? Well then check out my patch to replicate the DFAM in VCVRack: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=195731 Enjoy! And start patching up your modular to replicate the DFAM (kudos for this idea...

You already have a DFAM. Here is the proof.

I have created a patch to replicate the DFAM in VCVRack. Download available. More in this thread: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=195731 Of course that means, if you have these modules in your rack, which you very likely do, you technically already have a DFAM, minus the UI. https:...

Re: Boomtschak & Voltage Block

I have the 321 and it works as advertised. I'm of the conclusion that an 8x module would end up being pretty chunky is size seeing as most offer x3 at about 6hp, by that reckoning, at least 14hp? Cost would be about £200 min. Yeah, Frap Tools got back to me last night saying to should work for this...

Re: Boomtschak & Voltage Block

I have been banging my head all day trying to find a convincing solution to drive Boomtschak with Voltage block (&VG for the trigger). While the results sound awesome to my ears (see *) the fact is that VB outputs 0-5V and Boomtschak expects bipolar input (-5 to +5V). So without additional modules ...

VB "freezes"?

I have added the VG8+ & VB combo to my rack. Occasionally the VB gets stuck, i.e. VG keeps iterating through its steps whereas the VB doesn't. They are connected through the bus board and once I shut off/turn on the modular everything is back to normal. Obviously that isn't a great option during a l...
