Re: CardOC

CV1 Input 1.2V and a number around 450...now HOLD the right encoder for 10 seconds Change the Input source to 3,6V and again hold the right encoder for 10 seconds Just a note, doing that provided me with no feedback whatsoever, so I am not sure it did anything. Is is supposed to provide feedback? I...

Re: CardOC

Try to enter calibration again, in ADC offset see how far you can dial it for positive offset. I have like 22 to dial and that is enough for it to jump to the right semitone. … I hope Boris gets the same result. I did. Now the input matches the output (except for 0.1v, but I think I can live with t...

Re: CardOC

The quantizer isn't going to just spit out the .1 volt output changes (or any other voltage change) if it is calibrated to spit out what your system needs to stay in tune chromatically, or the desired tuning. Its not as simple as .1 in, .1 out. That wouldn't be useful since every system is differen...

Re: CardOC

Hey ArguZ – vielen Dank. Ich spreche auch English ;-) I hope I did not come across as frustrated. I could not find a support link on your website, and this is Muffs, and the topic is cardOC, I felt it might help to post here. I think I made a reasonable effort documenting my issue, and I also think ...

Re: CardOC

Yeah it was connected via the bus. However, for all I know the cardOC is digital (obviously the algorithms are running on a digital hw), how hard can it be to ensure that outputs are within the grid of 0.1v steps? I seriously don’t understand how this can be a problem at all, except for the scaling ...

Re: CardOC

From my understanding this is cardOC v2, and yes the 218 is connected as this is used in my Music Easel. However I have done the measurements both with the 218 as input for the semitones as well as using an external voltage generator that provides exact .1v steps as input. Right now I have the seque...

CardOC quantiser not providing .1v/semitone output

I am using cardOC with the 4*quantiser (same behaviour for 2* quantiser). My expectation would be, that if I feed in voltages in .1 intervals, I'd get the same voltages as outputs provided I set the quantiser to semitones and nothing fancy is going on. But, that is not the case. Or said differently,...

Re: Disting reality check - the jacks are very bad!

Actually, my Disting mk4, Disting EX and FH-2 have much improved jacks compared to my ES-3 or ES-6, where a glance from a distance seems to be enough to make cables plop out of them. They are truly terrible. But the above are just about ok, if definitely still on the loose side of jacks in my system...

CVGT FTW.

https://youtu.be/qa-Lr4TrpGY has a patch with my Easel and my Eurorack sidekick. Patch explanation below the video. It all works much better than I thought when I started the project.

That is a sensible approach… if one can wait. Because at worst, you sell it again for the price you bought it, give or take a few.

Is there any conclusive resource regarding the current options of a system 100 build? A directory of what’s available where, maybe?

Re: Buchla Easel Mods?

What I mean is that I would still like to get the mix out at the top outputs as long as only one of them is patched. Not sure if it makes a lot of sense... with having two top outs, a headphone out and two side outs, it should be possible to chose two for the per oscillator out without giving up too...

I use both. Both are dope. I'm a dope. I like it all. Buchla still offers things other formats don't. Euro does the same. Nobody cares about whether you use a Les Paul or a Shatocaster. Nobody cares wether it is soft-synths or kazoos. Is the music worth listening to? I've spent around 100k on music...

And then normal the outputs so that if only one output is used , it actually is the mix. Shouldn’t that be possible?

Re: disting mk4 firmware announcement thread

Just a quick note: when updating the firmware and Disting doesn't ask for confirmation, it probably means it was unable to read the microSD card. That is exactly what happens if the card is too big (for instance, "64GB" doesn't work. 32GB does).

Thanks, but sorry to say I have no idea what that could be. I am using the Focusright Clarett 8pre via thunderbolt from my Mac; and from the Clarett to Es-3 lightpipe. Focusright control gives me no settings for these "route through" channels. So it can only be Logic itself. I have no idea. Are any ...

That is in fact the case, I have had the fader in -4DB as it was "in the red" otherwise. To get to 1.25V I need to have the fader at +2db, which I still find strange, but ok, it works. So thanks for pointing it out.

ES-3 only 0.4V for SW Sync Clock signal

I noticed that my clock signal out from ES-3 via SW Sync is only 0.4V. That seems very low. Various other HW seems to work with 1.25V as a high signal. The low clock output from ES-3 causes problems with syncing some of my HW, namely my Koma Komplex. I have found no specs regarding what output volta...

The doepfer vintage knobs would be sweet, they are perfect.. they are plastic collared and are just a bit too tight to go on, they would need to be drilled out, but would be perfect. I just pulled one of these knobs off my Doepfer A-138 "Vintage". They don't fit onto the DFAM, and I don't think dri...
