New release, lots of modular + other gear

Took me a few more years than I had intended, but I finally got around to releasing another EP/Single on BandCamp

I hope you enjoy it.

Mine showed up in the mail yesterday. It took a while, but it's really worth it. My only gripe is that there seems to be now way to feed it a clock without having another STG module to provide it with the STG sync buss on the back. Everything about that annoys me, since I don't have any other sync b...

That's what's put me off from trying out the Octatrack. I know I don't like Elektron's file system and learning the depth of the Octatrack can do seems intimidating somewhat. But I'd still like to try it because every instrument yields different results. The thing about the octatrack is that most p...

Im quite happy with the original. It's my second favorite oscillator. I don't anything the MKII offers me.

Im interested to know how that works for you (the Frap Tools). I like random modules, and while it may not be for me, it's still cool.

I think I'm going to go look for a Random Sampling module

Being a kit, I would not consider it. I am not good at building, and I don't trust the builds others have done. If it doesn't have a proper support channel, I won't look at it.

Redundancy doesn't concern me, actually. Each module has it's own perks and won't sound the same.

Verbose Random Sampling?

Hello people...been a while... Anyway, I am looking to add some more randomness to my setup, and I've been looking at the Verbose Random Sampling module for a while. What do people think? I already have a WoggleBug and a Noise Ring which give me some neat results. Looking for something a bit differe...

This is one thing I hate about euro. Manufacturers constantly going to V2 with no upgrade path and killing value to the first adopters.

*sigh*.

For posterity's sake, I'll post that I found the problem: the header was reversed so the cable was wrong. Bubblesound didn't mark which side was the -12v pin, and I (stupidly) assumed that the label 'H1' indicated where the pin was. It's not.

Hmm...

Could you look at the back and check if the red stripe is oriented to the H1 side of the connector? That's how mine is wired, and I'm concerned it could be reversed?

Strange behavior on Bubblesound cvWS

Ok, I just got a cvWS second hand from a friend, and it's doing something...weird... When I plug into my lexington case and hold it away from the rack (I don't mount it or let it touch the rack rails), everything is fine. As soon as it touches the rack rails and I screw it in, however, it's causing ...

Why do I have an envelator?

At some point, I traded something for an Envelator. I don't remember what, exactly, but I took it as partial payment. It's been in my system for a while and I don't think I've used it more than a handful of times. In a system awash in function generators, why should I keep this one around? What make...

Slow motion industrial...or machine shop ambient. I'd say either phrase captures it well.

Portamento is not something that's implemented as MIDI instructions. The portamento would be generated by having a slew limiter on the CV output from the MIDI-CV module. That's how I do it, anyway. Portamento, as a midi message, is an on/off deal and its up to the synthesizer engine receiving the me...

I saw mutable, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what any of their stuff does from the names. It's a trend in euro that puts me off, honestly. Being as obscure in naming as possible in an effort to make your SEM clone seem unique. But really...what about Mutable should I be looking at? A lot of...

I'm back...what'd I miss?

After filling up my lexington euro case and then having some personal life changes...I took a couple years off the eurorack smash and grab and just didn't pay any attention. Now that I'm getting back to making music again, I'd like to make some changes to my system and freshen it up a bit. Getting b...

Broken Ensoniq ESQ1 - Where to get service near Chicago?

So I have a great condition Ensoniq ESQ1 keyboard...well, it was great condition until I tried to replace the battery on it. After the install, the display doesn't come on and no sound is produced. Hoping I didn't kill it.. Anyway, I'm ready to pay the stupid tax and find someone who can service it....
