Re: Glitch Storm: A DIY Bitranger-Bytebeasque-Chiptunethingo

If I wanted to add a eurorack power connector what would I use? Can anyone point out a Schematic showing what a typical power scheme for Arduino and eurorack? The Arduino Nano I have says Voltages: input 7-12V on the back. I’m guessing I need some sort of regulator. you could use the +12 or the +5 ...

Re: Teensy Tsynth 3.6 - My take on

This looks like a cool project for a an "analog" ;-) polysynth :-)
I am also on the waiting list for the boards on Tindie, but they are always out of stock, and also found out the guy doesn't ship to Italy.
You have a PM if you still have some boards left ;-)

Re: Glitch Storm: A DIY Bitranger-Bytebeasque-Chiptunethingo

Quick demo of my Clock Out mod, so far it's working great. Clock out goes into my Keystep which in turn sends clock to a LXR Drum Machine and to a UNO Drum, with some live tweaking of Glitch Storm

Re: Glitch Storm: A DIY Bitranger-Bytebeasque-Chiptunethingo

I have added PERMANENT clock out, taking the 5V directly from one of the free pins (Pin6) This requires a little hardware hack (as simple as a jack connected to digital Pin6) and some software tweaks to get the 5V on pin6 I'll double check the code and publish the hack as soon as I debug it 100% ;-)...

Re: Glitch Storm: A DIY Bitranger-Bytebeasque-Chiptunethingo

I have added a CV input, by simply wiring a 3.5mm jack on the first potentiometer so I can send CV signals to it. It works!
Now In plan to add CVinputs for each parameter and possibly clock in/out ;-)

Re: OPERA ROTAS, a DIY mutant drum machine BUILD THREAD

yes, I have used caps on my buttons, the main concern would be the BluePill board (I have used some female headers for it)
also, the screens should be raised a bit...(maybe sing headers again..)
I was looking for some wooden boxes today at the flea market but couldn't find any...

Re: Glitch Storm: A DIY Bitranger-Bytebeasque-Chiptunethingo

I changed SAMPLE_RATE on one of my GlitchStorm :

Code: Select all

int SAMPLE_RATE = 16784;
this way it's more in tune with a "standard" C of 261.6 Hz (it should be at 261Hz for a 440Hz tuning) so I can play other synths on top of it

Finally!!! :sb: (please, we need a 100% working procedure to update the firmware in the future using the St-Link and and .hex file...I don't want to "break" the current working board, so I have a couple of Blue PIlls replacements.....

Re: Building a Sonic Potions LXR in 2019?

I recently traded a LXR (with Metal case and separate outs) in echange for an Ambika I had built. I absolutely love it. I am using BC Firmware, loving the "Morph" function, as well as the "Sample Rate" reduction. I am syncing it with my modular and other stuff and works and sounds very well. I Still...

Re: Broken USB connector (Teensy) on a 16n Fader Bank

Well, I have fixed it.   I stripped a standars USB Cable There was just enough space to "see" the D+ and D- pads on the bottom of the board and soldered the white and green cables. then it was just a matter of soldering the red wire to Vin and black to GND, which are the ...

Broken USB connector (Teensy) on a 16n Fader Bank

Tonight while pluggin it in, the USB connector on the Teensy came off... The Teensy is directly soldered to the board, since there was not enough space for sockets.. How can I try to repair it? I know there are USB pads on the bottm of the Teensy, what about on top? maybe a bigger USB connector and ...

Re: OPERA ROTAS, a DIY mutant drum machine

It seems you failed programming it. You have a new microcontroller on the way. It´s going to work, word! I really hope so. But then , you need to make an idiot-proof guide on how to program that STM32...for future updates to the Firmware... (programming looked OK, no errors, but I have some doubts ...

I measured -3.3 Volts on the screen VCC/GND and then rea...

Re: Glitch Storm: A DIY Bitranger-Bytebeasque-Chiptunethingo

Regarding the tuning, it uses powers of 2 tunings (16384hz) , so I "guess" is normally tuned to 432hz. You can probably change it hardcoding some other figure that will be in tune with 440hz (1698x?)but honestly I dont know exactly what is. If somebody has the maths I can include it in the next fir...

Re: Glitch Storm: A DIY Bitranger-Bytebeasque-Chiptunethingo

is it just me or it produces (in the more "melodic" modes) a C note which is offset by +25-30 cents ???
I have tested with some VST synth and I need to set it to - 25 to get it in tune with external stuff ;-)
how can I change the root note in code or compensate the difference?
