Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

Just got an email from Eric saying that they got the boats and the Commands will be shipping, with Kickstarters first, direct orders second, dealers third, in the order the orders were received. I ordered (and payed) in November at a European dealer. So someone who ordered in May at Buchla....

Re: Higher end/vintage small mixers

...and once again: https://apb-dynasonics.com/products/ APB Dynasonics H1020 looks almost perfect (apart from having a fan). But the Direct Outs of the Stereo-Channels are summed mono? Why is there always a deal breaker? I'm also on the hunt for a "small" (about 16 ch) analog mixer with direct outs...

Re: MARF 248r source code available

Electric Music Store has V2 pcbs available. Steffen at SAModular is/was working on and updated daughterboard I believe. So for those of us who don't own a MARF yet, is it worth waiting for the mentioned updated daugtherboard? Are there any differences between the SAModular 248 and the 248r (Roman)?...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

To me it seems obvious that the USB host functionality is an integral part of the 208 Command. He only mentioned the Sensel Morph as an example.

But why did they not ask him when they'll finally start shipping?

Thanks misa. I just noticed that there's no internal audio patching needed, so no tiny Jax to tiny Jax cables.

On the shorting bars: There are Pomona MDP-S, MDP-S0, MDP-S2, MDP-S9. What's the difference – or do all of those work?

Greetings to Cologne!

Thanks for all the helpful answers! As said, I've order a 208 Command now. Could anyone please advice me on how many audio/banana cables in which length and how many shorting bars I'd need to get started? I'm based in Germany (Berlin), so I think https://www.samodular.com/browse-for/cables/ would be...

Buchla 208 as a starting point?

Looking at the 208C I'm wondering if it would be a good starting point into the Buchla world? I'd love to hear some experiences from those of you who built a bigger system based on a 208 or Easel: Does this path make sense in retrospect? Did you keep the 208 or did you sell it pretty soon to finance...

Wow, I wasn't aware of this project yet. I'm on the fence to preordering the new 208C (Command). Would the expander be compatible to this latest version – or if not, is there a chance for a revision adapted to the 208C?

To me it would be essential to time shift by musical note values (internally), so it would be great if you could consider this for future updates!

It's kind of clear because the initial question was about envelopes for beat making, but I think it's important to clarify that we're talking here about ADR envelopes, reacting to triggers – and not about ADSR envelopes, reacting to gates. Otherwise it could be misleading to state for instance that ...

ES-6 stopped working (solved)

I have a (pretty new) ES-6 connected to an ES-8. It was working, but now all of a sudden the ES-6 doesn't transmit any signals (neither audio nor CV). All channels show up in OS X, the Input rings are glowing when a signal is connected, but none of the six inputs is transmitting anything to the comp...
