Panels

I burn my panels in wood using a laser cutter and then put a strip of copper tape on the back as the shield and ground plane. Works very well. Much cheaper than steel and silkscreen. Even works for 19” rack fronts. The kind of wood doesn’t matter but I separate teepees of modules by wood color. For ...

Boards

Here's an idea. If someone really wants one have them pay the one off cost and still offer them. They can be drop shipped. The artwork is still good so why not. Costs you nothing.

Smd

I would love to see a full line of smd boards. That way one board is both euro and 5 high. Maybe leave some through hole where it matters for caps and other devices that affect the sound. But for most circuits it doesn't matter. Uses less power too. Let's you offer multiple functions on one board. M...

frequency counter

It would a simple addition to a vco to add a frequency counter for tuning. Any possibility of such an add on module? Just need one for a whole system.

you need to invert the lfo signal so that as it is rising on one side it is decreasing on the other. (or do that to whatever vca control signal you are using) A simple opamp would do that in the inverting mode. I don't understand what you mean by stereo stereo mode.

I have an issue 1 board available to a good home.

I bought the prepopulated board so I don't need it.

can you post some soundfile. It helps to hear the working board as incentive to stuff this massive board! LOTS of parts :)

side

If you put them side by side leave room for input and output jacks between them so you can patch them in either order or not at all. Guess toggles would work as well.

00-true bypass
01-se330/hvm (series)
10-hvm/se330 (series)
11-independent (parallel)

have one input and two outputs

I think there was a cap that had to be a high quality or it would not resonate. Try adding a control voltage and see if it oscillates. If it does than you can narrow the search. The crackle sounds like a loose wire. Check all the connections to the sockets.

trans

I saw the ebay sellers but I fear bad chips from those sources. Never the less if that is the source so be it. I already have 3 full size vco so not a big deal on my end but I want the quick octave changing so an outboard octave accessory would be very handy. Maybe make it a triple octave board?

tempco

Any reason not to mount the tempco resistor on top of the transistor pair? Doing the svf and I heat shrink the transistors together so I could glue the tempco to the top of the joined transistors but it would mean adding leads back to the holes for the resistor. Would the leads be more of a liabilit...

had a 470k in where a 22R belonged. All working fine now. BTW I found the bc550 sounded best to me. Seemed like a wider bandwidth sound with more highs.

ground

I don't think you want the paint rings under the nuts. It breaks the ground connection some. over time the sides of the jack will oxidize but the space under the nuts pretty much excludes air so it won't.
