Re: Novation Circuit Rhythm Sampler
Given the comments above, I guess I will get off my lazy and dig the E4 out of the closet. The Force is a bit space-taking for my setup, but the E4, as a rack box can sit under the desk and do what I want. Akai used to make an MP16, 16 pads with a decent amount of time overall. Tried to buy a second...

Re: Novation Circuit Rhythm Sampler
I must say this idea that all samplers must be purpose-built with drum beats in mind is tiresome. That said, I'm no fan of the sampler as a "record your synth sound, then ditch the synth" paradigm either. I'd like to see samplers with operating systems that easily allow one to set up multi-sample "k...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C
I just bought an Easel Command from the website; it sounds as if I my receive one of the next (second?) batch. I asked about an upgrade path to a new Easel.... "If you're interested in an Easel Command, you can order them from our website. Production of them is accomplished in batches, and when you ...

Re: What Happened to Foxtone?
I am an admitted Buchla lurker as I said before, always interested but definitely in the "I'll think about getting one when I get a ton of money" camp right now. I have always wanted an Easel as a start. I don't see any in the market except used ones. They are still being produced I assume, but why...

Considering Claravox, Buchla Sound Easel, Meng Qi Wing Pinger, Torso T-1, Oxi.... I imagine something else will swim into my view before any of these actually arrives. Also need a bench with wheels to fit under the current work surface. Thinking another X-Air 18 as well. I could fill it with inputs ...

Kodamo, Bitmasker, the pocket synth
No price yet, but looks like a LOT of fun in a very compact and capable piece of kit. Also, previously seen, the delectable keyboard Essence FM. (300 analog filters for 300 FM voices.) The Essence is awesome ; this looks equally so, and depending on the price, might sell like hotcakes. I'm hoping $3...

Looks like as soon as I can order up a new Easel/208-218 combo, I'm definitely signing up for one of these, it sounds impressive and looks like it adds an extra layer of fun.

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C
Thanks, this is super helpful. Looks like I'm waiting for the 218+208+suitcase. It sounds like I could [and might want to] add a Sensei Morph to said config. Is there a pre-order queue or something similar for these? I'm inclined to go with BUSA. A "standalone, idiosyncratic, analog, semi-modular sy...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C
I am new to Buchla (other than the OB-MX, which doesn't really count), and have an idea that the Easel Command Module or the BEMI Music Easel might fit perfectly with my workflow (improvised synths & sequencers, mildly synchronized). I'm definitely not a modular fellow, thus Easel. The BEMI suitcase...

Thanks for this -- I've been wondering about these. I've used and XR-18 for years, and it work well. Which is to say, I need not fuss with it. I use a Mac mini, and Aggregate devices with Electron gear, problem-free. But I want to build out some more inputs for my Special Guest Box cart, and at this...

Pretty much anything I ever sold, I ended up wanting again later. Which explains a room of bookshelves filled with gear waiting to be re-discovered. Re: Korg Opsix
Anyone having experience with modding synth to desktop modules? Korg has been pretty good about desktopifying their recent keyboards. It seems as if this and Wavestate were designed with a desktop end in mind, thus the 3 octave keyboard form-factor. I'd not hold my breath, but I'd expect them both ...

Have you considered a Buchla Music Easel, fully "kitted out" so as to be ready to, as it were, "rock"?
