I’d like to chime in here and offer up a huge thanks to Simon for making this a thing. I’ve enjoyed building and using the SY-1M and look forward to your next projects. Much respect.

[ SYNCUSSION SY-1M BACK IN STOCK - FOR THE LAST TIME ]

Hi All, The currently available batch of Syncussion kits will be the last ! It was brought to my attention that the MHS122K SPST switch is now out of production and Mouser/Digikey have zero stock. Fortunately, I managed to grab enough of the MHS123K SPDT switch which is now included in the kit.(The ...

Re: New project from Psyco X [XDS3]

The lastest prototype was completed before Christmas and is currently getting hammered at Devon Analogue studio... you'll find some nice demos on their Instagram feed. Although its sounding great and I'm hearing lots of positive feedback I think that due to the cost involved my intial plan to produc...

All I intended to say was something like "SOIC with 1.27 mm pin pitch is OK for me; SOT-457 with 0.95 mm pin pitch is the limit for me; but TSOP ...

How tiny will the SMD semiconductors be? There are quite a few matched transistor pairs which are SOT-457 All resistors are 0805 All caps are PTH except for a couple on the power board Diodes are all SOD-123 etc. ...basically, if you managed the BCM transistors on the Syncussion you should be fine....

Will you have a panel/PCB only option, or will we have to buy the full kit?

Just that having a huge collection of components in stock, I always avoid full kits.
Kits will include everything BUT passives, Semis, ICs (all SMD) and minor hardware (spacers /screws)

New project from Psyco X [XDS3]

Hello I’m hoping to have kits for this available soon after the new year. Progress has been quite slow as there have been quite a few hurdles but hopefully all is on track now. Unlike the original this has individual LFOs for each channel, wave-folders, a delay control for the Run Generator, Decay C...

So I've got a weird problem with my latest builds :hmm: Everything seems functional except for the fact that the whole machine sounds a few octaves too low. So only the top bit of the pitch slider results in a tone you can hear, the rest is too low in pitch to hear. Got this problem with the latest...

I have been building a PsyCo X SY-1M for a friend of mine. I had some issues with the SMD trannies. A professionalist re-soldered the SMDs with hot-air. It was perfect. After 2 days on CH1 B and E modes have low volume level again. Is there anyone who knows which transistors connects to these mode?...

The Tune input is really just the same as the original with the addition of the trimmer for the V/Oct scaling. I would start by tracing through with your multi-meter.... you may have cut cut the header pins too short in which case the signal from the Tune input jack wont be reaching the top board! ...

You can check try swapping the MCP4822 Dacs around. I’ve had duff ones before and that would certainly mess up your tracking.
