Thank you for your support guys.
thank you for designing a very cool looking synth!
i was wondering, could it be possible to reroute the voices directly to the individual outs, and have the main outs *only* contain the fx? so then we have dedicated outs for each part as well as global fx.

Re: Fred's Lab Töörö on Kickstarter

I backed this. Love that it's multitimbral, has dedicated outputs, a sound that is obviously unique just from hearing the demos, and an excellent form factor. I can figure out how to use 90% of the features just by looking at the front panel-- good design. Oh, and the price is right?!? as in, ridicu...

Re: Favorite Multitimbral VAs?

all the nords. 4 parts, 4 outs, all with morphing. lead 2, lead 3, and wave1 are all unique powerful synths with absolutely wonderful UIs, better then the ion imo (which is a great synth). access virus-- any generation, they're all somewhat unique. 6 outs! UI not as good as the nords. different soun...

Re: Does no screen make a sequencer really see like more of a 'real instrument'?

i love sequencers and definitely try to interface with them as if they were "real instruments"... but my favorite sequencer has and likely always will be a bunch of modules connected together in a modular system. clock dividers, 4 stage programmers, 8 step value sequencer, trigger generators, switch...

Re: EURORACK METALHEADS! Long Rant Warning.

what about hip hop? clipping comes to mind, they are making many obvious direct references to older industrial. but even a popular artist like kendrick lamar has some pretty insane lyrical content, and the album "Damn" has a very industrial/dark tone to my ears.

Re: Oberheim Xpander and modern analogue synths

not a ton of people agree with me but-- elektron a4-- i still think this is one of the best analog polysynths out there for the money. you'll lose 2 voices ofc but i personally love the tone of the thing, and the mod routings are plentiful (you can definitely modulate envelope stages). the mk1's and...

Re: Beebo: A virtual modular guitar pedal

i like that it has 4 ins and 4 outs, freely assignable. i like the UI. can it handle audio rate modulations of the FX? i saw a video where a synth patch was eating up about 77% of the CPU. i wish someone would make something like this with 10x the processing power, so i could do entire crazy multit...

Re: I got it mastered and now I hate it

if you don't like your master, the first thing you could do is communicate with the engineer, tell them what you don't like, a free revision is generally standard in mastering. communication is everything-- tell the ME what you want and give examples of albums they've mastered that you like the soun...

Re: Prophet 08 / Alesis Ion (Opinion Poll)

Ion is a sound designers dream and IMO blows a p08 out of the water. excellent UI, modulation, envelopes, filters. multiple outputs. fantastic sound. and often had for cheap as chips (mine was gifted to me by someone who just didn't wanna deal with shipping it). i really think it has stood the test ...

Re: I'm digging these drum sounds... save me from going Eurorack

Yeah the latter idea is probably a sensible approach. Still if Korg or Roland would just update their desktop samplers... something that just doesn't seem to happen. i'm a bit confused there-- roland mc 101/707 should be able to get you to these sounds rather quickly, and likely already have simila...

Re: I'm digging these drum sounds... save me from going Eurorack

I do these kind of sounds with my new Volca Drum! Yes, it's close. For a while I really wanted to want it. But in the end I found it too much on the blipp-bloppy side. Perhaps with compresson/EQ I might get a different idea. There's a Russian Analog Drum Synthesizer called ADS-7 mk2. It's really ni...

*cough* I'm Loki from Poly Effects. Thanks for being interested in Beebo / Digit. I will mention them eventually in the manual for each module...

Re: Beebo: A virtual modular guitar pedal

i'm neither a hardware or software engineer, just an artist who loves to abuse his tools to the limit. i know that if such a product existed, i would pay a *lot* more then 399 for it. clavia pulled it off in the 90's with NM which could easily run 4 very complex synth patches at once, with dedicated...
