Re: Never meet your heroes
Have you experienced finally getting your hands on a piece of gear you'd been lusting after- or were inspired by for ages and being deeply disappointed by what you found yourself with? I had this with the TB303. Lol you couldnt have bought any of the 10000 303 clones out there to see if you get on ...

Re: Selling Eurorack Modules & Complying to Directives
If you are selling to Germany, then you will need to comply with the German Packaging Act, which involves registration and the payment of an annual fee. There is no threshold and it doesn't matter how 'small' you are - you are required to register before you send so much as a single package, even i...

Re: warmest sounding complex oscillator?
Keeping the descriptor "warm" in mind its gotta be Either the Doepfer quad vco or its monophonic versions (a-111-3 or a-111-2) Shit, the doepfer standard vco even sounds real warm in comparison to the precision vco's. I dont give a f*** what anyone thinks because i don't think the majority of module...

Yamaha FS1R owners? Please help if possible
Hey everyone. I have a FS1R that is in need of the OS upgrade. The internet will tell you about the J1 jumper that needs to be closed before the OS will actually update itself. I guess it reads the EPROM into flash memory and otherwise doesn't use it. Well, I have seen plenty of photos of opened FS1...

Hahaha!!
And if you have a DP4 for that money, I will buy it right now.
Okay well maybe a dp4 missing the rack handles, broken knob or two and dead battery

MMT8 midi program change assistance please!
I'm trying to prepare a bunch of sequences on my MMT8 to play them back live. I haven't used a MMT8 in a long time but i used to use them a ton so i am a little embarrassed to ask this. I went thru the manual and i don't think there is a specific way to set the midi program manually for each track p...

5U dual sequencers
Just curious if anything similar in function to the D6 dual mini sequencer exists in 5u, or what my options are besides running two big ass step sequencers.
Im considering ditching all the euro for 5u but sequencing options and 1/4" cables are holding me back

Plugged in backwards ladik
I have a ladik drum boy which got plugged in backwards, powered for about 1-2 seconds but enough to fry something. None of the IC's felt warm immediately after unplugging. I'll post a pic of the board soon, but it looks very similar to a ladik romplay. I figure i probably burnt the voltage regulator...

Re: Do you one take tracks? Help me learn how to be like you!
The best way to do it imo is to do a live mix, but unless you have enough nice enough hardware to let you capture all the pre fader and post mix signal of each track, you have to compromise on some way of how to record it. I used to send everything into a multi-bus mixer then record each 4 bus separ...

Sold most of my retro video game collection to finance a Doepfer case? I know; I’m a wild man! :cloud: Wasn’t a huge loss to me, really. I barely even play them anymore. One of the best life decisions I ever made. Good riddance to it, too. I can use an emulator the one time a year I want to play so...

The bro one kicks ass. It sounds nasty and dirty and i love it. I tried to make a video of it getting nasty with some modules and a drum machine, but it's only got phone audio cause my dr-05 ran out of battery partway thru recording the direct audio. No issues triggering it with cv, you just have to...

The drum girl and drum boy are both really cool compact drum modules. Nice thing about drum girl is directing the outputs to 3 different percussion sources instead of just drum boy. Drum Boy is the first thing i had since the MXR 185 that truly has its vibe. Drum Girl has a similar timing so its al...

Any suggestions as to what might be the issue here aside from reflow and hope for the best? Braids (full size, not ubraids). It worked as expected... for about 5 minutes, until bumping the case made it turn off. I saw nothing wrong with it so i plugged it back in. It will do the loading spiral then ...

Those ZIF connectors can APPEAR to be connected but not actually be - also if you yanked the thing apart theres a chance the cables damaged but those kind of ribbon cables are a dime a dozen (maybe a penny a dozen?) from China. Aside from that, if you're not capable of measuring voltages in the area...

I would start on the Peaks program to learn to use it as an ADSR. I found that to be the easiest to learn by far and then the rest basically makes sense after that. Disclaimer: I knew temps utile before o_c, so i already had the menu system down. I still think its the easiest program to learn how th...
