Re: Signal boost from pedal into eurorack?

Hi, I have the tallin, and the Doepfer quad vca mixer.
No veils I’m afraid! I’m fairly sure the only things I own that actually add gain are the xaoc unit and the RYO amp mix.

Am I thinking along the right lines with this?

I mean, should I just plug in and see?
No/low signal=more dB boost!

Signal boost from pedal into eurorack?

Hi, Would something like a mooer pure boost (+20db gain) Be sufficient to get guitar up to synth levels? I appreciate that there are dedicated modules to send/rtn in Euro land but I’m not sure I want to give up the rack space! Use case would be; guitar> effects chain> (boost pedal?)> synth module......

Re: LFOs, Envelopes - why no attenuation included?

I recently added a livestock electronics Felix to my rack. (I know it doesn’t aid your point) But it’s a very useful way of multing:attenuverting a single source around your system. 1 becomes 6. Or 2 becomes 3 if you so fancy. Pretty nifty if you ask me, and just slightly different from the other mo...

If my memory serves me correctly peli make a case that will take 6u 84hp.
They are near bulletproof cases!

Re: building a eurorack case

Those mean well lumps in the bottom of the case I built in January were £12 each. These output 6A each.
The same installation can be found in cases from Pittsburgh modulars EP series.
I get -12/+12 @6A per rail. (Not per busboard)

Re: building a eurorack case

Pretty much! You’re governed to a point..... The busboards (I think) would sit equal about, behind the rails on the back board, just up or down to accommodate the main pcb, which needs to be installed so it sits at one edge, so you can plug in the barrel jack. It’s up to you if it plugs in at the le...

Re: building a eurorack case

Doepfer diy is a good and cheap start! Very simple to assemble, if you can read and you are not colour blind it should be a breeze! 6u fills up real fast is about the only problem I had with it M3 nylon nuts make good spacers for the busboards. (You will need some wood screws here) (Sure I needed m3...

Cool response!

Is it possible with an iPhone?
For I am Luddite......no pc no Mac.

My current option is 140 odd mile round trip, which I’m not against! But if I could do this here.....
Happy days!

Option 2 of course, join the modern world and Mac up!

Cheers for your assistance in any case!

Re: WMD Metron sequencer

Is there a way to update firmware without using a pc/cardreader? I read a bit about forced update using the global settings but can’t find out if this is indeed possible. (Found -update- that scrolls past on encoder 1 but then what?) Any info would be really handy! Cheers. The only supported way to...

Re: Patching DJ Scratch sounds?

When I first got interested in modular (and I’m still a rookie really) I got chatting with jase at signal sounds, He mentioned timecode vinyl and I think it was an envelope follower? Sewastopol...... I didn’t understand the module exactly, and mostly I still don’t, hence why I don’t own anything sim...

Re: Patching DJ Scratch sounds?

Er 301 gives some good sounds! It’s modulated rather than actually scratching with the synth but, that module looks like a lifetime of fun! Like ohhhh where can I get me one of those! I think I might just plug the turntable in and give matey another nudge to produce that innofade module...... That s...

Re: Patching DJ Scratch sounds?

i built a sc1000 and have it connected to my Eurorack. i have it connected to the Ladik Envelope follower which then sends triggers a Random trigger gate. Those triggers activate drums. https://youtu.be/dUroamo5dAk Im still experimenting tho with scratching with modular. i was thinking of using the...

Re: Patching DJ Scratch sounds?

I had a crack at this. But it was more like scratching with the synth......if the knob was a fader and the trigger wasn’t the open end of a patch lead, I’m sure it would’ve been closer to actual scratching. Now I have divkid mutes and antumbra fade, I probably should have another go at it? https://m...

You could straighten them nails up easy if it bugs you so. Place the nail row on a sacrificial Strip, edge of workbench will suffice (nails Slightly angled down) and tap (reads whack) the top of the part the nails are fixed in to. (Also Protect the timber you’re keeping or use a rawhide/rubber malle...
