thread bump!

I heard back from ModularAddict on this..

the two resistors blacked out need to be a 220k and 100k resistor. I have uploaded the build doc they sent me.

hope this helps you if you're still trying to figure it out. Loving this module already.

I just built two, and they are both not quite working in exactly the same way... the CV out is pegged high no matter what I do. What did you end up doing with the blacked out resistor spots? I left mine out. I've done a fair amount of debugging with a friend, but without the schematic it's hard to f...

I think I've figured out how to physically put it together. It seems to me like it would be easier to put together with a female header on the back of the faceplate. This would allow us to use long pin headers to go through the PCB from the back, connect to the faceplate, and give a spot for the lit...

Meng Qi Voltage Memory

Hey folks, I finally got around to putting together my meng qi voltage memory kit from Modular Addict. I'm a little unsure of how it all fits together between the faceplate board, component board, and the seeduino backpack. Anyone finished one of these and care to help me through my brain shortcomin...

in the spirit of being complete, I heard back from SND on this - did not expect to so quickly.
the SAM-supply needs to be 12Volt AC(!), 200mA or more.

Back from the dead!

Hey those of you with this sequencer, what are the specs on your external power supply? The one I have here is acting strangely and I am hoping it's just the wrong power supply or a failing one.

Hey folks, hoping to finish up this build on board rev 2.3.2 from oct 2015, I have a couple questions for clarification. It's quite possible i have an old BOM, but can't seem to find an updated one anywhere. I'd like to know what you all put in. Earlier in the thread someone asked about R55 and R58 ...

Bumping this from the dead, with what i guess is a question for Crandall1. I'd love to use Odio as a sound interface for Ableton on my surface, but i need spdif to work with all my expert sleepers stuff. I know the PCM2902C has spdif i/o on pins 24 and 25, and see that they are conveniently brought ...

I've built a web app for this, but it's not ready for prime time yet. And it will always take a lot of maintenance to keep inventory right. Also, as other people have mentioned, you have to decide what part number you're going to use for each component. In my app, you can have an internal part numbe...

Barton CV Arpeggiator with Clarke Panel

Hey folks, I'm wondering if anyone out there has built this and would care to share what you did behind the panel for mounting. The issue I'm having is this: If I use the "normal" 16mm pots with straight pins that fit nicely onto the PCB, the board doesn't fit well behind the panel as it obstructs t...

I used one of the diodes near the power entry for ground. Also, for the sake of closure, my build was plagued with a sketchy solder joint on the output wire. I think some of the wire insulation got messed up in the joint. Probing showed a connection to the jack since I was testing the wire, not the ...

909 Transistors

Hey hex - the BOM for the 909 Rimshot specifies the BC549 and BC559 be of the C type. Should all of the 909 boards be the C type, or is B ok for the others?

looking forward,

I have troubleshot everything up until the 2180. I have a new 2180 that showed up a last week or so, but I haven't brought myself to de-solder the one on the board. I am seeing all the right voltages at the 2180.

The corners on my panels got a little messed up, enough to make them not lie flat on a surface, but not enough to get me down. I'll just "reform" them before building. Stoked this is in the backlog.

So far, I'm good with the UI learning curve. For some reason it doesn't scare me. The thing that is really driving me batty is that for some reason it is telling me that I can't save libraries, because of a permissions problem. All I'm trying to do is create my own library for all these pots/sliders...
