Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

All we can do (as a people) is vote. Sorry if that's too political for the forum. It's not. We (moderators) just don't want political pundits using the platform to cause division, or engage in 'shaming', for not voting a certain way. There are numerous examples of what you just posted, being left u...

Re: Thinking of going back to school for electronics - worth it?

There are two different areas you can study; A Degree in Electrical Engineering, or the Trade 'Electronic Technician'. Electrical Engineers come up with designs and focus on math, Technicians build the circuits, test and repair them. I enjoyed doing the trade when I was younger, and the apprenticesh...

Re: Quantizers in 2020

Wow the Tenderfoot and Shakmat Bard both look great! I’ve been hesitating to buy a new quantizer and I’m so glad I did. These are the two best options I’ve seen so far. I like Shakmat modules. If the Bard had been available two years earlier, I would have got one. But is it available yet? That was ...

Tenderfoot make a Quad that released this year. The designer was pretty cool when I contacted to ask questions as well.

Sorry, all - indeed potential self-dox. Protecting your anonymity is fine, and yes, using Youtube and other sources it is possible to link MW accounts to RL people. That being said, This thread can no longer help others in the community, because advice is no longer in context. This type of behaviou...

Re: Is leaving a 1HP gap between modules a bad idea?

I have a 2hp gap between every module, and a 4hp gap between modules with highest jack density. Helps me wiggle a little easier, reaching pots, switches and jacks on the edge of modules. I can follow patch cables easier. I enjoy the layout and aesthetic as well, but I do have the luxury of a extreme...

I have a Quad Quantizer from Tenderfoot Electronics arriving any day now, am pretty excited. Multiple channels, CV control over Scales and Transposition. No scale & offset on the channel inputs though, and the display looks like single coloured LEDs. Really wish it had Bi-Colour with 1 for active no...

Rather than stopping sending the comics they closed up shop.
Seems like a really common mindset with people who have a message they want to spread. Ragequit, or work on a ban, rather than just tone it down.

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

Just a friendly reminder, Politics is still a topic that is not welcome on MW.

It's very easy to slip comments about politics into discussions around 'practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy', but it's not encouraged and will be moderated.

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

Over the next week all Behringer threads will have 'Business practices' posts separated and moved into this thread.

The ongoing effort of a few people, to copy/paste the same arguments into each and every thread, won't stop other users from discussing products any longer.

Compression with Sidechain, and two different modes (FET or Vactrol)
