Re: Vortex Generator Build Thread

I would check the rungler circuit and reflow it all: R18, R19, R20, R21, R22.

If that doesnt fix it try to reflow the arduino D5, D6 and D8 pins too

Re: OPERA ROTAS, a DIY mutant drum machine BUILD THREAD

How is the progress with the firmware? Honestly stucked. Maybe Im open sourcing it in case any other guy(s) wants to keep developing it Maybe there are some pointers in here for midi over usb. It works for Arduino leonardo boards and is the way it was implemented on the NS1nanosynth might be worth ...

With 2 of these you get almost a rampage/maths. In some cases it´s even more flexible as you get control of the four curves. Cool circuit

Yep it normally powers from the usb. You can feed +12 eurorack power to arduino vin and eurorack 0v to arduino GND to power it. The nano has a v regulator itself

Re: Vortex Generator a Maths/Benjolin Fusion 10HP

I received one of these recently (from the Tindie store) and love it but noticed today that none of the Rise/Fall CV inputs seems to be working. I am sending LFOs from ochd and checking the scope and there is literally no change in the waveform. I have tried looping and 1-shot with the same results...

Re: Yusynth Wavefolder

normally you have to connect the - scope to gnd and the + scope to pin 1 of that chip. You can do it manually, but is way better if you have one of this hooks that keep the conection for you https://www.google.com/search?q=multimeter+hook+leads&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjN0pCU-5rsAhUeBGMB...

Yeah, loving your mods guys. Deffo it pays to opensource all. Please keep updating your experiments.

Would love to hear that minibrute vs glitch storm thing. If you are going to put the RC filter, better do it switchable, to my taste it sounds better without it

Re: Vortex Generator Build Thread

I´ll check if it´s the compiled .hex. It should be. The error that you get while compiling... try to put the lut.ino file in the same forlder as the rev2.024.ino. Probably they are separated, hence the error Edit: Could you try to uploade this .hex? https://github.com/spherical-sound-society/vortex-...

Re: Vortex Generator Build Thread

The fastest/easiest is to install the CH340 drivers.

Download xloader.

Use xloader to load the .hex file to the arduino nano via usb. The .hex file is in the github

Re: OPERA ROTAS, a DIY mutant drum machine BUILD THREAD

yes, I have used caps on my buttons, the main concern would be the BluePill board (I have used some female headers for it) also, the screens should be raised a bit...(maybe sing headers again..) I was looking for some wooden boxes today at the flea market but couldn't find any... Speaking of the Bl...

Re: OPERA ROTAS, a DIY mutant drum machine BUILD THREAD

For anyone who has successfully programmed the Bluepill for this, did you need to add any #define PIN commands? I have it working as far as the screen reflecting the buttons pushes, but no sound from the OPL2 board. I have independently tested the OPL2 using some arduino sketches and it works fine,...

Re: OPERA ROTAS, a DIY mutant drum machine BUILD THREAD

The data pin should deffo be showing activity. I would say your build is working but somehow the bluepill is not correctly programmed. The OPL2 is 100% ok. All the pins on the OPL2 are read only, none goes back to the microcontroller Also the pots only doing half of the travel is weird. To me it see...

Re: OPERA ROTAS, a DIY mutant drum machine BUILD THREAD

 You're right, the caps for the OPL board were backwards. I flipped those but still no output. There's only one electrolytic cap on the main board and I verified that is oriented correctly (negative side facing the blue pill). Everything seems OK from the photos (good eye Noodle Twister). You ...

Re: Syncussion alternatives?

Deffo there´s something magical about the syncussion. I would love a Behringer revamp, instead of the 303 - 606 clones that are producing right now. Somethig cheap, strong, with all the spirit of the original and even with some LFO or new trick under the sleeve. Pfff, I guess I will end getting one ...
