Re: Beginner Audio Interface

If all you need are two inputs and two outputs, I’d recommend the Strindberg UR22. It’s sturdy as can brand easy to use. I e had mine velcro’ed to the top of my performance midi keyboard for the last three years and ha e used it at ~200 live gigs and recording sessions and still use it. Had it for 6...

Re: Where to get blank panels cheap?

What are your thoughts on the synthrotek blank panels? They’re fairly cheap and come with a pretty cool design silkscreened to the front.

I personally am a big fan of the look of the Moog One. Beautiful synth and an amazing sound too!

Re: Recommendations for wall mounting synths

Wall mounting would be a somewhat permanent installation, but if you don't plan to move stuff around a bunch, might no matter. I have been personally thinking of doing this myself and have some interesting ideas. I only have 4 "keyboard" synths so my ideas might not work with your particular setup....

Recommendations for wall mounting synths

Any one here mount their synths to the wall kind of like at a music store? I’m looking for ways to make my synths accessible and display them well and mounting them in the wall feels like a good way to go. It would be cool to have all the power, audio and midi routes neatly behind and they can be ac...

Re: Quarantined for 2 months with one synth...

At $500, I'd go for a microkorg and a ditto looper. I plugged my microkorg in yesterday for my 1 year old to hammer on.. I forgot how great it sounds!! Pretty sure it just replaced the SH-101 in my live setup, getting looped by the octatrack. Much more comfortable bringing out the $200 synth than t...

Re: Share your arduino based projects!

Here is a clock and divider module I made last week with an arduino pro mini. I made the panel by gluing thick pieces of paper together and drilling it out carefully :hihi: It's been a lot of fun running my teenage engineering drum machine with sequencer together. https://i.ibb.co/Y3hRcdb/trigger1.j...

Re: Share your arduino based projects!

Here's an envelope generator I built with a temporary front panel (I'm hoping to laser cut some acrylic soon). The output goes to a DAC and then to an op-amp. Re: Soundmachine Lightplane/strip vs Tetrapad vs Sensel Morph?

I haven’t seen the tetrapad or the light plane but I didn’t have several experiences with the sensel morph at NAMM and it is truly a powerful and expressive device. It is also versatile in how you can swap pads or even draw your own interface on paper.

Gotcha. It’s hard to tell from the picture how long it is but I’m remembering Wintergarten made a violin style synth from a ribbon controller and it looked quite long.

Oh I see. Very nice. Was this kit build then? Also I wonder where you can get just the ribbon. I’ve seen longer ribbon controllers and I wonder if you could swap it out for a longer one fairly easily.

Re: What sparked your entry into eurorack?

When I was a teen, I bought a microKorg and was very fascinated by it. Then one day I was watching Joel Zimmerman on a live stream where he was showing his eurorack collections and how he made some of his sounds. I had no idea that a synth could look like that! Just a wall of knobs and cables and no...
