Re: Thomann prices to the UK no longer include VAT

I swear that I'd posted this here earlier but came back to see my post not here haha I bought 2 things on preorder that're supposed to ship out in february, I paid for these back in November and have already paid VAT on them, I'm just kinda worried that I'm going to end up having to pay VAT on them...

Re: Folktek / Cause for concern?

Personally I would not let the paypal 6 month window expire.. What is the 6 month window? Its my poor wording for the 180 days you are covered by paypal's buyer protection. Buyer Protection If your eligible purchase doesn’t arrive, or doesn’t match the seller’s description, we can reimburse you. If...

Re: Folktek / Cause for concern?

This is disappointing to hear I know they are a small company and emails can be missed but replying regrading orders is important. Personally I would not let the paypal 6 month window expire and have found when smaller companies are contacted by paypal they will generally reply. Im sure they will fu...

@kinkycables, you're the only one supporting me in the resistance against the filters. 😉 Honestly speaking, when I had a moment of weakness I thought about the Serge VCFQ build from thonk kit. But it's not for this year's Christmas. I've bought the DPO already. It howls beautifully like Mozart's do...

Highly recommend the bug brand ones, pamonas are also good, I would go for a 20 regular pack to start and see how you go.

Re: Seeking sound examples of wavefolders in feedback paths

Just wanted to add that the wave multiplier doesnt just do wave folding (this is the middle section) in the top section "the module functions to “square-up” an incoming signal, with a rounded flattening of the signal peaks, somewhat similar to overdriving a tube amplifier (with voltage control!)" wh...

Re: How do I know when I need grounding?

I think all cv is fine in and out of the coco, the only ciat lonbarde gear where there can be concern is in the plumbutter and rollzer brown nodes as these will can output high negative voltages.

I really like the random source qvcf or variable slope (maybe useful for the mix function) nice organic sounding filters and they are great pinged. The xaoc Devices belgrad is also great and can double up as a nice Oscillator

Re: Instruo Lion Matrix Mixer

Nice module, and one of the better implemetations of amatrix mixer. But how can they charge $325 (according to modulargrid) for something that basically is 48 jack inputs? 48 jacks at thonk would cost me £20. Ok, I know there's more going on inside the module, but jesus the price of eurorack is sic...

Re: Running out of power... what are my options?

You could run one of your rows from a meanwell RT65b. Hook it up to the incoming mains power then you would comfortable have enough power for your case without breaking the bank and just doing some minor mods to the existing case.

Re: Vote now! Eurorack Essential Features Survey 2020

I think the only essential is a redline indicating -12v. everything else is down to the designer, unless it has reverse power protection but even then just put a little line on the board its not going to hurt anybody.

Im trying to get my head around the Quantussy section, I have tried patching v/oct from a quantiser into the fm of the cells to little affect so what am i missing (it was connected to ground) is the fm input controlling the amount of fm? I also can't get my head around the relationship between the c...

Re: Why do people subscribe to using a format that likely makes it more difficult for them to be creative?

I just wanted to share some of my own experiences, recently I reassessed my modular and stripped everything back to 6u 104hp. The limitations this imposed have sent my creativity through the roof. I think part of my journey was going through the whole gas thing building a super system then finding t...

They're quite interesting modules, would love to have Dunst, but its crazy expensive.. e.g $222 for dunst (+~30% to import to Sweden)... compare to some EU manufacturers like Feedback Modules or Ladik lol. NLC does similar modules for a fraction of that price too... panel design is terrible too, no...
