Re: Furthrrrr generator strong zero core tracking problem

Sorry for throwing random things at your face... hope you don't mind :)

Last idea -> the further can function either as 1.2v/octave (buchla) or 1v/octave, eurorack.

How is the jumper set ? (if any).

hope it could be this ;)

Re: Furthrrrr generator strong zero core tracking problem

Hi laniakea, that's good news, let's see how you can make it better. First thing, can you double check, that you are really close to tuning by 25cts, and not by something like 1 octave +-25cts ? I can't remember if the trimmer has that much range, so excuse the thing if it does not help. Now, try to...

Re: Upper limit for CV (V/Octave) voltages?

there is actually no hard specifications for this, but there is 2 strong tendencies : the 2 most common 0-10v vco -5v 5v vco Some others are 0v-8v for example or 0-5v Now about usability, many digital modules are limited to 5v for their upper voltages, and 0-10v vco maybe a bit problematic for upper...

Re: Furthrrrr generator strong zero core tracking problem

You mean when turning the trim pot in the notes int the octaves higher will get closer to tune and the reference note will drift out of tune? Because that's what happening to me. I will try to post a video later on, so you can see. sorry if I was unclear :), but you got the point absolutely. random...

Re: Furthrrrr generator strong zero core tracking problem

Hi Laniakea, First thing, about the strong zero core that fallen a bit, no worries about this, it can't kill anything. They are "hot glued" when installed from factory, if you don't plan to switch back from analog to strong zero, I suggest you to do the same, hot glue gun, a bit on the side of the s...

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

the proper direction is the one where it said : Invalid Device ID MPE lab, first needs to identify the device, and will flash the pickit with the proper code. Then the pickit can be used to update the device with the firmware. Could you double again change the device, trying to force a reflash of th...

what is truly missing to the line, is peak and trought, is any of you tried MI kinks for this purpose ? on the paper, it looks that the min/max section is exactly doing this, any experience to be shared about it ?

Re: Random Source Serge NTO: repair options

bad luck then :) if it's only replacing a pot on the euro version, I could do it for free, but being based in france, not sure it would be cost effective due to shipping. By the way, thonk (uk based), sell the pot you need. Before ordering, do you have access to a multimeter to measure the resistanc...

Re: Endorphin.es Shuttle system

@klick Thank you for responding. At this point time I don’t do much recording either. I can sit and turn knobs and patch things together and be totally content with exploration into different sounds. I really enjoy the “west coast” style of synthesis. Sounds can go from tame/normal to far out/wild ...

Re: Random Source Serge NTO: repair options

before you send the module so anyone, may you details a bit more your problem ? At the end, it could be... only heat related ;) 1 - is the drift happing over time (like 5 mns or so), or is it instant ? 2 - if you listen to the vco output without touching any pot, with nothing wired into it, is the s...

Re: How to get a "classic" LPG sound out of Grand Terminal?

The bongo sound, is not only the lpg, but also the harmonic content. vco : Start with a fm patch (the furthrrrr generator being very well suited for this, but any complex oscillator should do the job), and use these 2 variations : FM index being constant to have an idea on how it affect the sound, a...

I just uploaded 8 wavetables from the Buchla 259e Twisted Waveform Generator into my Piston Honda MkIII. Here is a demo of what came out. modulation from Pamelas NEW! Workout and some additional motion from the human CV generator. Envelopes from Quadrax driving two channels of the LXd low pass gate...

Hi, i am very interested in getting a steeper filter curve with my Serge system. Was thinking of getting a Bugbrand DRM2 and combining its 12db filter with my VCQF in series for 24db slope. Will that work? Will it get moog-y? thanks I have 2 vcqf and a vcfs, tried all combo (and quite enjoy each of...

not sure if it's what you are looking for, but this release contains plenty of roms , many sid/nes ones :

indeed, will need some rework to fit in mk3, but at least, you can import them in waveedit quite easily

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

I believe that the purpose of this, is to correct innacuracies between clocks. But now, I start to realise, that the "clock" word is missleading. Actually, it's a BPM counter, so very likely, you'll need to set the stillson to 120 BPM, but to use a gate output, and not a clock output. If you have a ...

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

small idea, can the shmk2 go as low as 30 ? because if yes, you'll get a nice 120 bpm, quite better to calibrates without having to use so much precision ;)

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

yes, it's the drifting of the clocks between 2 clocks beat(both kermit and the gear plugged in). Depending on their phase, you often get about 0.1, maybe a bit more. Even if it may look surprising, it's absolutely fine and it's even the main purposes of clocks, prevent drifts from one beat to anothe...

My Piston Honda know is loading preset 2 on startup ?
Anyone else ?
yes, it's fully expected.

To change it : press the black encoder + the link button

you'll see the option "startup preset", change it from 2 to "no preset", will do the job ;)

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

Was exactly the same with the eloquencer, configured at 4 ppqn (pulse per quarter note).

So at 120, there is indeed 480 clock pulses sent.

It's very likely the same for the shmk2, so no worries.

hope that helps ;)

Re: Piston Honda MKIII dual morphing wavetable oscillator

new firmware 1.7 is up, along with kermit mk3 update. now we can cv modulate fm amount. :hyper: Sorry for the silly question. So essentially, instead of say running say OSC B into a VCA (modulated by cv) and then into the FM input of OSC A, you can now use one OSC to modulate the amount of FM of th...

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

updated : - AM modulation is good now, but for audio rate, I had mixed results, sometimes quite good and tasty, and sometimes looks like it's not sampling fast enough, I'll check with the scope. - cross modulation of pitch/waveform from B to A is functionning, same remark for audio rate - "calibrati...
