Re: mix outputs to DAW for recording

You should be fine going straight into your interface. Very doubtful. Neither my Tascam US-20x20 sound interface or my Behringer Ultragain can handle eurorack levels with the pots turned all the way down. They need a eurorack mixer between them.. I had a ESI soundcard before that, it could also not...

Re: mix outputs to DAW for recording

You should be fine going straight into your interface. Just turn the gain all the way down and move up from there. That's how I do it and it works great. No need to throw money at it. Oops - missed the part about a two channel interface. In that case, most audio mixers should work fine. I run straig...

Yes. Unless the level is zero, it’s still going through that tap once, just not being fed back.
Cool, thanks. It wasn’t expected or mentioned in the manual so I was a bit concerned.

Re: Strymon is making a Magneto module!

I just got a Magneto today and have a question. I’m getting a single repeat on any head who’s level isn’t all the way down. It doesn’t matter it the feedback button is on or off. Is that normal?

Re: The state of 1U standards in 2020

None of them are preferable since it makes eurorack less standardized. But if you must, it depends if you like rare and interesting modules. If you like mass produced modules made almost exclusively by one company then maybe intelijel is your preference. Pulp Logic tiles use a special kind of JST c...

Re: The state of 1U standards in 2020

I’m seeing some recent modules either having a choice between Intellijel and PL faceplates, or including both. It seems to me that the overall market is too small for a standards war. I’ve gone the Intellijel route since their cases are killer.

Re: Arturia Keystep pro

The Keystep Pro's certainly seems very capable. Especially the sequencer. Would any owners like to comment on if it's worth the price tag. I'm considering a Novation Launchkey for the Ableton integration, but the lack of a sequencer gives me pause. Still the Keystep Pro is pretty expensive.. I love...

Totally agree with Warps/Parasites. I have a Tanh on the way that I’m excited about. Three analog channels in four HP sounds great. While we’re on the subject, I use a DOD 250 pedal quite a bit with my rack, and it’s a fantastic full rangeish OD. Is there anything in Euro with a similar circuit? I’d...

Re: sequencer to replace Varigate 8+

I might be mixing you up with someone else, but don't you have a teletype? It's the best euro sequencer in my book. I recently got a hermod to provide the tree things I was missing: 1) keyboard input, 2) long melodies and 3) sequencing of midi gear. If you don't need any of these, the teletype is e...

Thanks for all the suggestions but these are too complicated modules ! The trigger man looks nice but I don't want patterns or songs. I want to see what the cables tell me. The verbos multistage is huge, expensive and outputs CV. Again I only need triggers. It's strange that the module I am describ...

Are Mimetic Digitalis and Octone any good? I've looked at Mimetic Digitalis before but can't remember ever checking out Octone. I’m still new to the Memetic, but it feels like an mini Voltage Block, but much easier to use (and a four channels versus eight). Definitely worth checking out. Saving and...
