Re: USB Audio Interface (Output Only)

I am using https://focusrite.com/en/audio-interface/scarlett/scarlett-8i6. Very happy with it so far. I also have 2 output module from Vermona for XLR + small external mixer with 4 channels. Quite a lot of options for recording and then bouncing outputs to either tape or back to modular for re-proce...

I have an ADDAC 702 on the way which sounds squelchy enough. I think it's also based on an MS20 filter but I'm not sure. A lot of people seem to compare it to the Korgasmatron.
Worth a look. How would you describe it in comparison to Korgasmatron/Morgasmatron?

Re: Ochd by Instruo / DivKid

Thanks for the heads up! Ordered! I don't even have room in my case for this right now, but I want to try it out and see if it earns its space and bumps something else. :hihi: It will blow you out. You can achieve some serge-esque stuff with it easily. As for me. I am still waiting for them to re-s...

Re: Is the cost of a module worth it?

At a guess, I'd say I've spent well over $100,000 on musical equipment throughout my life. This includes a bassoon, several tape recorders, 4 sets of studio monitors and mixers, a long string of Macintosh computers (& a few others), lots of MIDI gear and two major synthesizers. Throw in the cost of...

Re: Best BBD modules? / MF-104m users?

I had an MF104m but in trying a bunch of similar I found that for non MIDI duties Fairfield Meet Maude and Chase Bliss Tonal Recall RKM for CV/MIDI were very close in sound. Tonal Recall accepts MIDI. I owned a 104z. Sold it after getting the Tonal Recall. The 104z was pretty dark for my taste. But...

Re: Is the cost of a module worth it?

I have 25k+ invested in eurorack alone. It's not bragging just stating the facts. I pay for everything outright. Not a penny was ever used on a credit card. This is my life, my passion, creating electronic music and art. If you work hard, you should play hard too. Enjoy your life. Buy whatever you ...

AJH is working on a BBD with extremely long and decently short delay, very high audio quality (adjustable to very dark/distorted/noisy too) plus ping-pong and some other goodies.
When? :hmm: :hail:

Dixie2+ is a wonderful module. Separate outs for multiple waveforms which you can mix, modulation options, small hp + works great as an LFO. I use it mainly for LFO duties in all of my patches.

Re: Best BBD modules? / MF-104m users?

I like the one from Doepfer. Vintage edition. Doepfer A-188-1D. For rest, I just go to my pedals most of the time. I used to collect 3205 BBD delay stuff a couple of years back. Got around 32 of them now. I usually convert modular signal to guitar pedal and then run it back into a filter. Also a goo...

Re: Chinese 1 into 5 passive multiple.

The jack type matters . Try that trick for awhile with the non panel-mounted jacks like Behringer -and some others- is using and get back to us. Especially given the poor soldering seen in the modules now out in the wild. Those solder joints are ALL that is holding such jack types in place. And ele...

Re: Chinese 1 into 5 passive multiple.

And if your case is vertical gravity would do that damage for you. Let's be careful out there! nah, jacks aren't that sensitive, but i get what you mean. Yes, they are. You are adding unusual weight with stuff like this. It happened to me once. The socket was mounted to the panel, and its frame sta...

Make Noise René but it is a little bit bigger in terms of HP. Lovely sequencer for a good price second hand though.

Also with delivery, I feel you. I had like 2-3 bad experiences in total through the years. The estimated delivery time is around the end of this month or early July. Also, it was cool that pricing for shipping stayed the same even with 40 pieces. It usually adds up if you order more than a couple of...

Yeah. You can even see the upmark in price with these stereo splitters on chinese retail when they have “eurorack” in their title. Recently I've had quicker shipping from Signal in Glasgow to Seattle using their Fedex option than I have from East coast to Seattle using USPS or UPS. Also the GBP is so bad right now the prices end up being below retail. I just checked that, and yeah, total cost is about 20% less for basic airmai...

For the price they sound good. Thanks! - Funny phrasing there - What does that mean, for the price? I mean I don't mind a deal but don't want that to be an audio quality. Curious: Do they sound like moog filters or if not, how? Less musical? Thinner? I am used to pay about 200-250-390-450€+ for fil...

That’s my plan. I intend to build entire patches on it. While daisy-chaining some of it in a symbiotic relation or waveshaping/slew limiting certain outputs then right into rate cv input. Might as well use a fitting LFO with acceptable rate as a source for Wogglebug MK2 or other random modules. Migh...
