Re: Re:
Connected the output of the power supply to a female XLR. Male XLR socket in the back of the skiff. Mind you, afaik there is no standard for wiring the -12V, +12V and +5V to XLR (or at least, I didn't find one other than the 48V phantom power for condensor mics) so you'll have to keep a good eye on...

from the first post from tiptop: while the 8HP modules are designed mostly as compact in size end-of-the-chain effects and interface between the modular and line level gear. edited: I see this as a drawback. To me, most ext. mixers, even the crappy small ones take modular level just fine. And Delay...

I love the Klavis Mixwitch. It does swtiching and a lot more (check the manual), feels well made and is priced very kindly. My best value buy yet, I think. https://www.modulargrid.net/e/klavis-mixwitch Still fantastic value and a great module. I have three of them now. I'm jealous! I think...

1) Do you use both sections to get ADSR? Or each separately to get two AD envelopes? 2) What curves are you typically dialing in? 3) Do you self-patch the Maths to get different curves? 4) Especially: What VCAs are you using, and what are their response curves like? Thanks, 1) Generally one at a ti...

I'm a silly nerd and a big fan of their panel designs, despite occasionally scratching my head about some of the design w.r.t. function. I like their overall aesthetic so much that the only 'blank' panel I've bought is the MN lightning bolts panel. Coincidentally, since it's mostly black I took a pi...

Same here - I fall more in love with Cursus every time I use it (which is in almost every patch). Plaits is great, too.SweetNuthin wrote:Noise Engineering Cursus Iteritas. We acquired a Tip Top Studio Bus power supply and we have been able to re-create the power up problem. The issue stems from the extremely long rise time of the +12VDC rail on this power supply. The Mimeophon needs to be held in reset longer in order to allow for power to reach correct voltage. We a...

I used in a couple of ways. One was to send output 1 into a quantizer after some attenuation. It produces random notes and clock. I've also used it to alter filters often timed to the clock. I've never really used it in audio range. This sounds like what I've used it for primarily. I've played with...

What are the voltage ranges across the various input/output jacks? I think it's something like: Z: +/- 5V X: +/- 5V Y: +/- 5V A: roughly +/- 10V, depending on algorithm B: roughly +/- 10V, depending on algorithm I've been playing around with a Noisering (pseudo-random modulator/shift register) recen...

I very highly doubt you or anyone else (including me) knows more than their lawyers of what to do in a case like this. I'm not so sure! The suit was dismissed under anti-SLAPP laws, which is not very common. Perhaps their lawyers thought it was a worthy gamble given said frequency, but they could e...
