Re: hilarious 1HP modules / ideas

Maybe a 1hp ‚glitched‘ multiple?
Just like the Bastl Wackelkontakt.

You plug the cables not completely in and they are somewhat loosely hanging in the slots, so it comes that some signals get lost.

Sounds silly and it is i think😂

Hey everyone, is it possible to remove the frontpanel from the Cells module?
Yep.
Thanks!
Is the panel somewhat coupled with the touchpoints? I want to make a new panel and habe no cells right now, but a white module doesnt fit my visual needs 😂

Re: Dealing With Modules With Unspecified Current Draw

You could get the Joranalogue Test 3.
Its available as racked and unracked versions, i got the unracked version.

It does the job perfectly, can display usage of +/- and 5V rails.

Re: Module recommendations for horror/noisy/aggressive/harsh styles

Nobody mentioned Folktek Modules yet?
I have Matter II and it can make blips, cuts, roaring basses, sqelchy noises and everything in between.
It depends on what you feed it

I liked the look of the Folktek‘d Tonestar.

Maybe just paint the faceplate and do some graphics instead of words on it?

Syntaxis MicroModules

Hi, i just found out a out the Syntaxis MicroModules.

They have reasonable prices and are nice for DIY.
You just have to solder jacks and pots to it.

Anyone tried them already?

Re: Modules that "Fascinate"?

I was always fascinated about Folktek gear, especially the modules.
They look incredibly good and got this otherworldly touch.
I got Matter II because of that.

It makes strange noises and sometimes it feels like instead i play it, it plays me ^^

Heard back about my matter ii. Guess they’re just a bit slow at the moment.
Expecting a good outcome.
What has happened to your MatterII to stop working?

Re: Rack Rash

I just use hexnuts to prevent something like this (they come with super flat black washers)

In mention of screwing modules into a rack, we germans always say
„After tight comes loose“

It isnt neccessary to hardly screw a module into a rack

Folktek Matter and Matter II Nice for clicky-pops and drones Ah yeah, had my eye on those. My impression of that maker is stuff that is overpriced and flimsy. Fair or no? Matter 1 was kind of weird with those super small dupont cables, but Matter 2 uses 2mm Banana Pins for their patching, what feel...

When ordering i always order extra components

I have also ordered quite some assortments (resistors, capacitors) from wish/ebay. That helps a lot at the beginning

With Heartbroken Veils one or two of the VCAs distort the incoming signal in a noticeable but not unpleasant way. The e...

I’m guessing you’re not looking for strictly electroacoustic? In that case - Soma Lyra? Anything Ciat Lonbarde or Lorre Mill? Once you’re looking for something like the Erica drone, why not just a small euro or 4u rig? I reckon you’d be quite happy with a single Serge row if the Erica strikes your ...

And to all owners, are you still happy with it?
