Re: 4ms SMRF: Spectral Multiband Resonant Filter

Had the same problem with mine and contacted 4ms. They said v1.01 of the pcb had no -12V marking. They added it in later revisions.

Not sure how many channels you need, but the old behringer mx 802 a is good if you want a compact mixer with two sends (one pre- one post fader). Goes for about 50$ used.

Don‘t ever try to play the jaw harp while drunk, I broke off a little piece of my teeth while doing so.

Re: Portable tiny modular system ideas

I don't know if the joystick makes sense. it is a spring return joystick. you can turn the knob on a module. The cool thing about spring action joysticks is that you can patch it to other modules‘ inputs, savely wiggle the stick and everything will go back to the sweet spot after it. A Joystick whe...

The way Make Noise handles it seems especially strange to me, with the rise and fall controls becoming attenuators when CV is plugged in.
That‘s not actually the case. They become bias controls, so they are providing offset.

Re: Fancy VCA's or compact quad VCA for a smallish Sound Explorer Orchestra system

Moddemix is my favourite vca at the moment. To my ears it sounds great, it distorts quit a bit while closing. It has some high frequency bleed, that never was an issue for me though. It‘s definitely not the right choice if you want a clean vca. Oh, and check this out :) https://youtu.be/b3kT1fguQ74 ...

Re: Cables! Noob question

I bought about 50 stackables when they came out. All but two have failed. Tiptop Audio reacted to the high failure rate of their cables and improved the design. They are very reliable despite not having strain relief. I have ~35 Stackables in use since about three years and not one has failed so fa...

Re: Trimmer pot o-ring?

These look like standard o rings to me. So just search for o ring and the right measure. You have to measure your pot shaft. I measured a pot shaft of a korg volca, its 5.9mm, the ones on the microgranny may or may not be the same diameter. Then choose an o ring that is slightly smaller for a tight ...

Can‘t really answer your question, but one thing you should look at when chooosing a joystick is if it has spring action or not, it makes a huge difference.

Yes that would be awesome! Judging from the video it‘s not yet possible to record the mutate functions, not sure though, will have to watch the video again. Once that is implemented it would be a given to also enable step editing of the mutate stuff.
