Re: Westlicht PER|FORMER Sequencer (DIY)

Yes, my goal is to write an entire track on performer and I expected to have as much flexibility as on Live.
Maybe I should try recording the midi in Live, but I wish I could do it in the performer…

Re: Westlicht PER|FORMER Sequencer (DIY)

Well, I think I'm trying to understand: the measures add up to each other. so for my problem above, P4 begins at step 32 because the total of measures above is 6, it will begin at step 1 if total measures above is a 4 multiple. Is that correct? Phew if it's that, it's very complicated to construct a...

Re: Westlicht PER|FORMER Sequencer (DIY)

After several tries, I still have difficulty understanding how it works. So to summarize and keep it simple, all my tracks have the same lenghts. P1 = 32 steps P2 = 32 steps P4 = 64 steps //no problem with these combinations: # N T1 1 2 P1 2 2 P2 3 4 P4 or: # N T1 1 6 P1 2 2 P2 3 4 P4 //problem with...

Re: Westlicht PER|FORMER Sequencer (DIY)

Well yes, or ... sort of. Keep in mind that the N column in song mode represents measures, not how many times the pattern plays. # N T1 T2 ... 1 1 P1 P1 ... 2 1 P1 P1 ... If T1 = 16 steps and T2 = 32, when the song goes to #2, T1 will indeed start at the 1, but T2 will actually proceed from step 17...

Re: Westlicht PER|FORMER Sequencer (DIY)

Hi, I have a question about song mode… how do you use it with several patterns that have different lengths? For example, if I have 3 patterns: one with 16 steps, another with 32 steps, and another with 64 steps? I already enter the appropriate value on the "N" column, so 16 steps is 1 on N, 32 is 2...

Looking for DIY SMD projects

Hi,

I have already made some modules in smd, mostly mutable and st modular. So I'm starting to have a little stock of resistors and capacitors in 0603. Can you give me some ideas from other people / companies who sell pcb with SMD components?

Can someone explain to me how the slide time works?
I can't hear any difference between 0% and 100%. The user manual says that slide time set "Duration of pitch slides for steps that have Slide enabled."… but how enable slide for steps?
OK, I found the correct layer!

Re: performer (or is it per|former?) sequencer build

I just got the launchpad mini MK2, everything is working fine but I have a slight artifact sound when holding the "1" button on launchpad.
Does anyone have the same experience? Is it possible to solve it?

Re: performer (or is it per|former?) sequencer build

Can someone explain to me what the switches SW8 and SW19 are for? I'm currently wondering if I can do without soldering them. This will also help me to know what they are used for on MI Elements, because I recently finished it with these switches soldered but I also don't know what they are used fo...

Re: performer (or is it per|former?) sequencer build

Some news: I finished building, it works fine. I had to test the sequencer quickly with tester hex because I had to return the pc. Thank you for your help! A few points to note, it looks like the CV2 and CV6 outputs were slightly out of tune compared to others, I would say a little less than a semit...

Re: performer (or is it per|former?) sequencer build

If I want to measure the +5V, if I look to the online board viewer and click on +5V, that shows the same components than +12V (same for other voltages). What am I missing here? Do you use schematics to verify other voltages? Because I was able to find +5V on schematics and measuring C6, for instance.

Re: performer (or is it per|former?) sequencer build

OK, thanks I will continue the build. Voltage test gives +11,5V // -11,5V. I wanted to do the measurement tests for the +5V, +3V3, +3.3VA and AREF_-10V but I don't know how to do that… the online board viewer give the same components to test. Anyone can explain how to make these tests?

Re: performer (or is it per|former?) sequencer build

thanks, that's what I ended up deducing. So as soon as I'm done building everything I have first to erase the chip? or I can run tester hex with bootloader and sequencer hex flashed?
