Need some help... Yamaha CS-15 advice

So... I sent my CS-15 off for some service. I got it back today and of course played around with it. Before I dive into asking some advice, let me give you some background... I bought it used in September off a seller that had good reputation. It worked fine... 'Round about November I began noticing...

The Harvestman has you covered. http://www.industrialmusicelectronics.com/products/19 Looks like the Harvestman product was replaced with one called the Black Locust. Wish they said how many HP it was on the site - hopefully it's Modular Grid I'll also point out that if you want something outside y...

Re: What are you listening to now?

Nice chilled vibes pmboos but I have no idea what the baby head is. That's Laptop's Opening Credits album. It's a bit more synthpop-oriented. I couldn't find the album or any of its songs referencing the album on YouTube, but here is one song that got put on a compilation album: https://www.youtube...

I'm super interested in this; will this go into 'standard' production if the pre-orders work out?

The mods for my Akai S612 (FDM, FPA, XD280).
1010Music Blackbox
Retrokits RK006
Tell me more about these mods for the Akai S612. I have a couple (one in need of some repair - I think it is just a new drive belt....); perhaps these mods would be useful.

I "like" the graphics. Gives it character.

And I see it as sort of dark gray-ish? 😋
OK, we'll call it charcoal :-)
Pantone 426 C

And I agree the keyboard plays really cool. I always wanted an EDP Wasp and this keyboard, while different, gives me a feel I got something Wasp-like.

Meh - I see black... in these photos and on mine too.

And Oh BTW, I like the graphics - seems to be precognizant of hooking up with Make Noise :-)

Re: How did you pick your sequencer?

You might like the Noodlebox by Sixty Four pixels as well... It's got some nice graphical feedback once you get used to it. That does look a nice option. But for me I think the 8 tracks and rack mounting of the Eloquencer would be preferable. I don't really have much space for any more desktop unit...

Actually cheaper to get the black version with separate mic ($330 total) rather than the white version ($350).
I'll admit that white version looks cool though - it might be a decent $20 extra well spent.

sooooo.... if one had an itch for a MicroFreaker, really wanted a vocodin' option, but hated the white ones, could that person purchase a Black Frakk and add a mic?
In the US they are less than $40; my son got me one for Christmas.

Re: Your Favorite Acquisitions in 2020

Long story: I'm going to join the crew extolling the virtues of the Subharmonicon. I bought it on a whim because Hainbach did such a cool review highlighting the possibility and I was interested in incorporating harmony and polyrhythm into my set of fixed architecture synths and Reaktor. Then I fig...

Nice! I don't mind a bit of flat space, I could put my Typhon on it, or the Anyma Phi I backed, or a Volca or two... (or maybe even a small midi controller)

Your Favorite Acquisitions in 2020

I'm curious about people's favorite acquisitions in 2020 - favorite can mean anything, but explain why it was your favorite and what you have you used it for... (BTW, it does not have to be a 2020 release...) My favorites are - Dreadbox Typhon: this things just has so much going for it, they have al...

Re: How did you pick your sequencer?

I currently have an SQ-1, a Mimetic Digitalis, a Digitakt and a Minibrute 2S (and Pams if that counts) but after much watching of demos and reviews am on the verge of an Eloquencer mainly because of the graphical display. I do struggle a bit with sequencers where I can hear what I'm doing but can't...
