Expert sleepers seem to be making a 2m cable and are based in the UK. maybe you could give them a shout? https://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/accessories.html

Re: using guitar pedals with eurorack

need is such a strong word..I don't have any kind of adapter but I'm doing fine. I send various bits of eurorack through one or more pedals and sometimes guitar via amp into pedal/modular and then out to a mixer, or all at the same time. usually have 4-5 pedals hooked up but don't always use all of ...

unfortunately don't have any of the modules but have been eyeing them for a while. probably have to start another case anyway (sooner than later) and it will definitely include some IFM then :)

Re: Moog releases 2.0 firmware for Mother-32

I have emailed Moog well over a week ago and not received any answer whatsoever yet. I don't have anything MIDI and asked them if there's another way to install the new firmware. I mean, there are other modules where this is done by playing back something into one of the inputs etc but apparently no...

Re: Trogotronic PSU?

+1 for Trogotronic. built my case with this power supply and 2 boards. if (probably when) I'm expanding, it will be Trogotronic again, no doubt. have had 0 issues, dead quiet operation and enough power to...power a bunch of stuff :D added bonus, it kills fascists ;)

Re: Realistic piano sound? Is it possible?

I remember my music teacher back in school going on a rant how his new keyboard was able to reproduce all kinds of instrument sounds reasonably well, except for piano. and I couldn't possibly be arsed to even look into patching this up somehow so I guess what I'm saying is: if you want it to sound l...

Re: Why Suzanne Ciani hates Eurorack? (Or how I learned to stop worrying and love my performance modules)

hmm..kind of a strange statement to make (people wanting to know what's going on) while she has 3 tablets in front of her plus a bunch of modular. not performing live myself but there are plenty of people out there who do, and do so successfully, and not just the press play type of live either. more...

Re: Single Manufacturer Eurorack Systems

seconding lisa's post. besides that, some manufacturers might not (yet) have a set of modules to cover a variety of areas and make a 'complete' system, but the one/s they have is/are perhaps outstanding. why would I exclude them if their function, workflow, etc is, at least subjectively, superior to...

Re: Expanding M32

Hi Loreak, regarding the clouds you may want to check out monsoon/typhoon instead of the tiny remake you selected here, as they offer more control, which may or may not be of interest to you. moving on to m32 + XYZ...usually people would ask what sort of music/sounds you'd intend to produce with thi...

no idea what format that is though (looks even smaller than euro). Meh. Like we need even more modular formats. this has been around for a little while already, made by Tangible Waves https://www.tangiblewaves.com . while I agree that another format might not be exactly to everyone's liking, it doe...

Re: Starter Setup ?

just saw that the Pico system 3 also has this slot for preset cards. there are videos on how to make the most of them too. I'd probably go for the Erica system over the 0-coast since I don't like the MN aesthetic much, but also the Pico gives you more 'traditional' individual modules that are labell...

Re: Starter Setup ?

oh, sorry to hear that. the 0-coast would be going the semi modular route, which is not a bad thing at all, as many have stated, certainly to begin with. you can already create quite a bunch of diverse sounds and patch things etc. so a decent option. this doesn't need a case of course so it would sa...

can't believe this thread was brought back from the dead by some shameless self-promotion... It wasn't shameless self-promotion, but spam. it was actually both but I gave it the benefit of the doubt as it sort of did fit the thread, though signing up just to post this fits in the spam category, sure.

Re: 6Hz at 130dB. We all threw up and cracked a warehouse wall

thanks for the posts, Blairio! all this actually reminded me of a particular evening when I was still living in Scotland (glorious times) and a few mates were over. a couple of us were jamming on various instruments and the others nodding along. I was playing a Yamaha electric organ that night and w...

Unless you really really have to have FX in your case there are much better sounding, cheaper and easier to use options on the used rackmount market. Most people prefer plug ins in these days the wider music market so you're suggesting to get an entirely separate rack and power supply just to have ...

Re: Starter Setup ?

So the extras I would need would be some VCA(s) and a compact multi effects module for the Nifty bundle as a minimum ? do you have any pedals you could use for effects? distortion, reverb, delay, etc? that would save some rack space. otherwise, yes, I believe something like that would help you. just...

Re: Starter Setup ?

No soldering is policy of the landlord (local government in this case) due to fire alarm stuff. If it goes off the whole building( 4 floors, 18 apartments) has to clear out and the fire service is automatically summoned. So very serious business indeed. Cant afford to take that chance at all even i...
