Also, all of my LFOs seem to be modulating other LFOs just fine
I think the rationale for using a VCA here is that it allows you to modulate the amplitude (amount) of the other LFO, while I presume you just modulate its frequency

Re: Jürgen Haible Krautrock phaser BUILD THREAD

Can anybody who's built this on internal power recommend a transformer, preferably from Mouser or Reichelt? Thanks I used this one: TALEMA 55102-P1S2 for both the Krautrock and the Tau Pipe phaser. It fits the vandaal Krautrock phaser enclosure if you are building that. It's only avaible from TME A...

Re: DIY Trade Thread [ Parts, PCBs, Panels ]

Thanks - rotation tag or not doesn't matter, but there are "fake" Alpha pots that look fairly similar to the Thonk ones but have a slightly larger shaft diameter. I've tried before, unsuccessully, to fit them through Random Source panels. I would recommend getting one of these https://www.harborfre...

Re: DIY Trade Thread [ Parts, PCBs, Panels ]

Looking to buy the following (I'm in SoCal) - 2x Alpha potentiometer (Thonk style - other Alpha clones unfortunately do not fit the panel hole) Hey, not to be an ass at all, but are you talking about ones without a rotation tag? That tag is so very simple to snap off with needle nose pliers that it...

Hakko all the way.
I think out of all people who skimp on their first iron, 50% are needlessly discouraged and quit DIY, and the other 50% eventually buy a better iron. Be smart and apply that first investment toward a real iron in the first place

Re: Cwejman MMF-1s

To close the loop on this trailing question on thread: I ordered the Trogotronic Silencer (thanks B0bcat) and that solved the problem completely. Happily wiggling on the MMF-1s now. For ref. my PSU is the Row Power 30. Thanks for the help! Steve Here's my (kinda) dumb question: I also got a Trogotr...

Source of AI Synthesis power adapter PCB, or Euro-to-MOTM converter cable?

I'm looking to power a Eurorack prototype board with a old Frac PSU, so I'm looking for (either) a source of the AI Synthesis power adapter PCB in the US (https://aisynthesis.com/product/modular-synthesizer-power-adapter-pcb/), or a Euro-to-MOTM power cable. I don't want to hack something together s...

Re: Cwejman MMF-1s

Hey all - a request for some expert help... I've recently acquired an MMF-1s. On listening to it for first time, I'm noticing a lot of aliasing in all modes. It's most noticeable on clear filter sweeps in LP with and without resonance. I've recorded the output (clean and direct out from MMF to Zoom...

May I recommend, whatever size/positions you end up determining, to add 0.2 mm or so hole diameter for the actual panel fabrication
