There's many factors to consider, so this response might feel like I'm not really giving you an answer. Getting some decent monitors isn't a bad idea at all, but if the room you are in sounds like shit, it might throw you off even more. I don't know about either the Alesis or Maudio, but i would als...

I work at a company that ships a lot of sensitive audio equipment internationally so I have a bit of experience seeing how to ship gear and what can happen. Any courier company will possibly fuck up your stuff, none of them are better than others in these terms so you have to be sure to pack it well...

The Easel refers to the Music Easel, and I believe the larger 100/200/200e/etc. modular systems are The Electric Music Box systems.

I would suggest the starter systems that Buchla offers are usually a great basic configuration to start with and explaining module choices and potential additions and substitutions from there would be very helpful to a beginner seeking the "classic" Buchla configuration/sound.

i would recommend the 261e as well, though the 259e is more versatile with it's timbre, the 261e really excels at the smooth sounds that you would seek. Also, the 258v would be a good option in the future if you wanted a great analog vco, but it's not an e series, so no presets can be saved. After t...

Have to agree with Chrisso on the 258, as I've always been pretty blown away by the Verbos 258V, sounds amazing if you want that analog warmth. Otherwise, I've always been very happy with the 200e series oscillators, and the system has always sounded very good to me, but I wouldn't necessarily say i...

The rumored preset card with OSC really excites me, and I hope that the Easel will be able to both transmit and receive OSC data. Wow actually yeah if that card transmits OSC from the easel that would be truly amazing. Yeah, super excited as long as OSC exists, but if it can transmit as well, doubl...

I do think you should consider pairing the intellijel uStep MM module with the Morphun to get the pulse sequencing capabilities back.

I use the rackplanner program and make a jpg or screenshot. Then i use a simple program like MSpaint, or in my case on a mac I use Paintbrush, to draw my patch cords and settings and save it in a folder.
