Re: Yarns PCB Error, how to correct?

The 2.5 version you showed has PIN 5 routed to PIN 8 (Y4). So just cut the trace on your pcb and solder a wire from the MIDI Pin 5 to PIN 8 (Y4) on the ic. Thank you, that worked nicely. Will write some tags so other people can find this in the future. Blue lantern Yarns Midi Out Issue / Problem Ad...

Yarns PCB Error, how to correct?

I have a blue lantern Yarns pcb that i finished sometime ago and been using it ever since. Recently i found that the midi out does not work, because the version i have (2.4) had an error that was corrected in 2.5. However i haven't found info on this issue anywhere online. A brief description of wha...

Re: How to connect 3 Freq Central's Routemaster together?

EDIT: anyway to ground this if there is no earth prong on the AC adapter? I really feel that you should hire someone to do this safely. you don't know if you did it right but you are willing to apply power anyway. think about the fire you could be starting. or the electrocution hazard when some uns...

Why are you using 3 of these for 104 hp in the first place?
Each one is rated to output 500mA and I’m using 1.4 amps

Re: How to connect 3 Freq Central's Routemaster together?

You last answer suggests you shouldn’t be messing with mains electricity. It’s the current you need more of for these types of designs and not a higher voltage. I learnt Kirchhoffs voltage law at school, under 16 level. Look how that applies to parallel circuits- the typical way you would want to c...

Re: How to connect 3 Freq Central's Routemaster together?

when you get into bigger VA requirements, you need to buy a chassis mounted transformer that should be metal chassis with all the proper safety features. you should have the chassis earthed. your should boot your mains wiring. one fuse or two fuses sized correctly for your country and your load. ma...

Re: How to connect 3 Freq Central's Routemaster together?

It is a third Of an amp maximum into each whatever. You are trying to match the demands of the equipment to the ability of the powers supply to satisfy this demand. However it is always best to have more power available that what is required by some margin. Doubling it is a good start. Edit. Forget...

Theoretically speaking, you could split your AC into three, and apply it to each board. In practice, you need a separate wall wart (or better, transformer) for each board.
Could a 12v 1amp wall wart be split to three or is this too low?

How to connect 3 Freq Central's Routemaster together?

A bit confused, don't know if i should use AC2 or AC1 as a power output onto the next Route Master board or if i have to split the AC output of my wall wart into 3.

Thanks in advance. :tu:

Doboz XIIO, No gates when arp/seq plays a new note? Is this not a feature?

I've been playing around with my XIIO and i noticed that when i activate the arp or sequencer, it doesn't send a gate everytime it plays a note. Seems that this is something not programmed into the XIIO, or i'm just too dumb to find a way to activate it. If this is how its programmed, anyone know ho...

Re: Are group buys a thing here?

I think if you got a good deal on 100 patch cables and just bought them you could keep the 50 you want and sell the other 50 in batches of 5 or 10 or whatever. If you are selling them at the 100 piece discounted price they should sell easily. This is assuming you shipping costs are reasonable at yo...

ebay does have anti-piracy rules - they will eventually get taken down :-)

What’s up with the ridiculous amount of cracked plugins being sold on eBay?

This is a weird find for me but recently stumbled upon massive amounts of vsts being sold on eBay at barely 3% their original price. It’s obvious this is a bunch of cracked software... not even pirates want to make money off of what they do but it seems eBay doesn’t have any anti piracy rules. What ...

just direct everyone to pusherman. I try not to promote specific people but right now pusherman is giving us the best price. sometimes we have problems with fragmentation and market competition that leads to a group buy getting cancelled for not enough people or units pledged. I highly doubt that a...

Re: Are group buys a thing here?

That got a bit weird. I think the best strategy, gamblid, is to start a thread specifically about doing a group by for whatever it is you want to do a group buy for. If you're willing to organize doing it there's always a chance people will be into it. At least that's how I've seen it happen in the...

The first part of the equation is to get up to 100 posts. You can't sell anything until you do that. Then, i...

Re: DIY Mutable Unsuccessful Builds

I think I found the fault on the clouds... the 10v shunt seems to be dead. It gives 0V instead of 10v. When I checked for voltages I completely forgot this was on the board :/ I feel so dumb. Hopefully this fixes it :despair:

Have you tried connecting the module to external power as well during flashing? Seems like some modules need both power sources, ext and jtag.

Don't know if anyone could help me with this. I've been trying to fix my clouds for quite a while now...
