Absolutely beautiful tuning and playing. You nailed it at first try! :yay:
Thank you 🙏 I hope I can keep nailing it because I’m already feeling this instrument is very special!

Re: The Ciat-Lonbarde Family Jams

I FINALLY got a Deerhorn and it’s everything I hoped it would be. The expressive synth and controller I’ve always wanted in a Peter B instrument.

Here’s my first go with it using nothing but the Deerhorn & a Strymon Volante for half speed loop & delay:

Episode 4 is live! This time I talk to Paperbark and he shares a ton about getting to where he is now as an artist, custom (and maybe one of a kind) Ciat-Lonbarde instruments and how he uses an Octatrack to compose his work. https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/the-deerhorn/id1535334953#episodeGuid...

Re: The Ciat-Lonbarde Family Jams

Hey Everyone, I just released an ambient EP on Bandcamp. It was recorded live using a small BugBrand system, Cocoquantus & an OTO BAM. Both pieces are generative and were made using the Quantussy section of the coco to feed a quantizer in the BugBrand system. The only human input came from subtle ad...

Samuel Edmund - Lovebug

Hey everyone, I released a new EP on Bandcamp today. It’s 2 long generative ambient pieces that I made with a 2 frame Bug system, Cocoquantus & OTO BAM. I used the Quantussy section of the Coco to feed the Penrose and let the machines do the talking. There was very little human input. The tracks are...

Re: Tetrax waveshape

[ Damn! Is that the same for Sid? 😬 yep, works with all of the organs. Pressing either top or bottom of the barre works. but I don’t like pressing up top cause of the slider cutouts. I have Sidrazzi and Tetrazzi too, and they both have more overhang than the sid/tet/quat so it’s easier to get a goo...

Re: Tetrax waveshape

Reporting back, the Tetrax arrived yesterday. Congrats! I’m sure you’ll figure this out but you can get the opposite response from a barre by pressing on the lowest bit below screw...I’ll press right on the corner. i.e if press/release stereo output for the barre is left/right, it will become right...

Re: Semi-modular west coast synth?

As the owner of an Easel, I would say the Lorre Mill Keyed Mosstone fits that description best. It’s like a little pocket Easel. The wavefolder sounds different & you have to play it a specific way but everything about it is west coasty 👍

Source of Uncertainty Artist Spotlight - Samuel Edmund

Hey everyone, I realize this is the CL thread but just wanted to plug my artist spotlight on the Source of Uncertainty podcast this month. I recorded a full EP for it 😬 All tracks were a Buchla Music Easel (w/loopers) & field recordings feeding a Cocoquantus 2 & Plumbutter 2 for processing. All of t...

I also think the colour scheme of hot and cold is only for the plumbutter because the cocoquantus has grey for output and the organs have grey for input.
Great points 👍

Why he choose to make the ovals with banana jacks in a random colour does not make sense too me, but if all nodes are androgynous it really doesnt matter i guess.
