Thanks for the write up! I was thinking of grabbing one to compare with my Cs-L and maybe selling whichever doesn’t make the cut, but it’s appearing like keeping both may not be so unreasonable :hihi: :75:

Re: Moog Matriarch and Eurorack

Was just reading the manual, seems like you could decouple the keyboard from the synth engine and then repatch the CV controls back in to whatever oscillators you want to use? Not sure if it will work or what functionality you would lose, I'll give it a try tomorrow. I read that too in the manual. ...

Any early adopters have any thoughts of this compared to the usual suspects: DPO, Furthrrrr, CS-L, Verbos, etc?

I don't have a Matriarch, but I have this... "godmother" with similar 4 note paraphony, delay, arpeggiator .. etc :hihi: Love it as a standalone synth and never felt the need to borrow anything from the rest of my euro setup

Has anyone compared this with the Studio Electronics Midimini? (not the Midimoog with real Model D parts)

Re: Eurorack Mixers; How did you decide on your mixer?

The nw2s:io has DB25 ins and outs in 10HP so you can use it with any analog outboard mixer. Mixing euro with the Speck Via Fader looks fun (their X.Sum mixer is one of the best) and there's also the rackmount Neve/API/SSL stuff if you want to go after that sound.

Re: Black Corporation's Deckard's Voice Eurorack Module

We have updated Rachel, the companion module for Deckard’s Voice, before starting it’s production. Manual trig button has been replaced with a waveform selection switch for VCO/LFO. Rachael is an advanced fully analogue ring modulator module, which also acts as independent VCO, LFO and ADSR. Shippi...

Another option if you must have the tube is a tube channel strip, pre, or even DI like the Reddi or Retrospec Juice box.

15% off Memorial day sale @ Reverb, including keyboards/synths/eurorack.
Some bigger shops raise their prices before applying these discounts.. to the point where the "regular price" for some used listings are higher than buying new!

Roland System 8? Digital, $1500 new, ugly as hell, no aftertouch, but you get all the Roland classics and it sounds ridiculously good.

Doesn’t your UAD Interface come with the industry’s best modeled compressors like the LA-2A and 1176? I get that hardware is sexy, but you should already have access to some of the best compressors available that you can record/mix through to give color to your instruments. Agreed - probably not wh...

Most anything from Live Wire. Big knobs. Plenty of space. Interesting.
The 3-position mode selection knob on my Frequensteiner is SO STIFF. I racked it with two screws when I first got it and with each turn it felt like I was going to pull the module out of the rack.
