I will solder in a two-hole header in so I can easily swap in/out transistors later on by just plugging them in :-)
The transistor can be installed in either of the two spots, correct? (the "test" spot or the Q31 spot)

Re: TR-606 - is there any clone in DIY format?
I have questions about the Noise Transistor as well! (I have already tested the two Bass Drums and they work fine) My meter only has a 750 or 200 range on the AC setting, so not accurate enough. I have two BC546 transistors. Should I just feed the TP4 signal to my mixer and see which transistor nois...

Building my ADR30, and there was one mistake (not my mistake!) in my parts order: 27E65656-BE0D-4998-8BA0-6D84540594C7.jpeg Oops... I have a couple 50volt 47p NPO Xicon Ceramic Disc caps in my old parts stash. Would these be OK to use in the ADR30 (for C54 & C57) ? Or do I really need to get the C0G...

Good deal... My troubleshooting skills are not the best so I always worry that a new build will not work right. But most of the time it's something simple so I just have to be persistent...

Yes, MIDIBox. It amazes me how many people are working so hard to create something that already exists!

Did you triple-check polarity of the 1N4004 diodes and all the electrolytic capacitors...?

Re: TR-606 - is there any clone in DIY format?
I am working on populating my 606 (5u) boards and am missing a transistor. The Q306 in the Tom circuit calls for a BC556B but I don’t have one.
Would a BC 557, 558 or 560 be a good substitute?
Thanks! Drew

Wavestation button replacement?
Has anyone replaced the buttons on their Korg Wavestation?
Mine are getting really bad, almost unusable. I'm wondering if exact replacement parts are available...?
thanks for any tips,

Re: Building a sequencer (MIDI + CV + Gate)
As revtor said above, MIDIBOX is the ticket. The work has been done and it is awesome. Essentially 16 sequencers (each a step sequencer or a drum sequencer) with up to 8 MIDI outs, 8 CV/Gate pairs and 64 trigger outs. Very hands-on and interactive. Everything can be done while it's running. And if y...

Delay transistors
The analogue delay (ADR-30) calls for two BC547C transistors.
Would BC547 CBU transistors work ok? (couldn't find info on "C" vs "CBU" anywhere and probably wouldn't understand it anyway)
thanks!

The “MIDIphy” sequencer is the new panel layout of the “MIDIBox” sequencer. Essentially the same machine, just a different layout of the controls. Ok... so what about the MIDIBox in your opinion? I posted my opinion on the MIDIBox sequencer farther back in the thread (along with a video). I've been...

Re: Hands On (Analog) Sequencers in the year AD 2021
As a fellow step sequencer freak (M-185, Fat Controller, CGS step sequencers), I have to point out the Midibox Sequencer. Panel has 16 encoders (knobs) and 16 buttons for creating/tweaking your sequences. Very hands-on & interactive. There are 16 tracks, each can be up to 256 steps long and has it's...

Re: micromonsta 2 questions + discussion
I am surprised at the lack of activity on this post... the MMv2 looks like an amazing little machine! It's at the top of my list to purchase. From the docs, the output is stereo. So it it pretty easy to route things to the left or right? If you're using it as two six voice synths on two MIDI channel...

Re: midiphy SEQ v4+
Well (ignoring the modulated divider feature), any two tempos *are* related ;-) If one is 93 and the other is 129 then you have a 31:43 ratio. You could set the dividers of two MBox tracks to 31 and 43 and get that same relationship. Being able to modulate dividers is an interesting idea; I'm going ...

Re: midiphy SEQ v4+
Cool! You could also do this for a similar effect: Track one has notes in it and is transposed by Bus1 Track two has "transposing interval" notes in it and sends them on Bus1 (so they transpose Track 1) AND Track two has the Divider set at a different value than Track 1, so it effectively runs at a ...
