recommendations for solder for SMD?

Is it better to use solder suspended in flux or just drag solder?

Thanks B

My system started as a MS20 replacement. Never really got there with just DIY, and its reason it exists seem to change monthly. I never wanted just a standalone unit though. Mine is integrated into the studio as a whole with lots of in / out and looms that go to my patch bays.

Big Thanks

Cheers Neutron for sorting out my dead build.
Rooky mistake of not checking wrongly marked up resistors and using evil solder to put them in.

Looking forward to a magical osc in the rack.

Cheers from the UK.

the panel always seems to be my biggest expense.

I made mine this time round from acrylic and have the layout if you can find someone to do the cnc cut for you.

See another topic in this forum.

https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/4621_euro_panels_sept_1.jpg I've done a basic layout if anyone needs it for cutting their own panels. Also the clouds design didn't work too well on acrylic so that's had a tweak as well. If I've stepped over the DIY line at all, please let me know. Many t...

MST VCF issue

Morning guys, I've just DIY'ed a MST VCF. Sourced the components myself, also made my own Vactrol by these instructions DIY Vactrol I seem to be having issues with the build. My 12bd output works fine, all CV works great too, but the 24db is massively distorted. First I thought Id miss identified a ...

I don't think you can.

Best work on the original vector file.

My cnc Im using is very fussy with pan tones that indicate cuts or etches and I'm trying to use a consistent design.

Thanks

Euro panel layout

Does any have a basic panel layout for the standard euro panel?

Just looking for the correct hole spacing and board dimensions.
Seems silly to reinvent the wheel if there's a vector going around.

Many thanks B
