New units are in production now (as is a huge number of modules in the rest of the series) and all dealers will be restocked over the next few weeks.
Cheers for that!

hi Joran, may I ask when you anticipate restocks for these at your US distributors? Happy joranalogue user here :)

805.VS2

Hi everyone, can the 805.VS2 be used to crossfade between two stereo sources? I can't quite figure this out from just reading about it.

Thanks for your help!

Re: Scala help please

I know this thread is long dead, but I found this thread while having similar problems using scala with OS X High Sierra, and I believe I found a solution. 1) download Wine, a free wrapper which allows you to run Windows .exe 's in other builds. Consult the Wine FAQ if you're having trouble finding ...

analog oscillators locking

hi everyone, I'm fascinated by the phenomenon of being able to find whole number ratios between analog oscillators, which theoretically have a continuous variability of pitch. how can this tuning miracle happen? I remember reading (can't recall where) that analog oscillators which share a power supp...

Re: Random*Source Serge Equal Power Stereo Mixer

The Aux inputs are post-VCA, and pass straight into the L and R channels just as you say. Thanks Jon, does this mean that the Aux channels are unaffected by the gain control and gain CV? I'd be curious about that thread where folks talked about the sound quality above unity. I seem to remember read...

Re: Random*Source Serge Equal Power Stereo Mixer

Many other stereo mixers in euro outclass this one in terms of features, but I'm giving the thread a bump as I'm really curious about getting one anyway. Anyone using it who can explain why they went this route instead of other stereo mixers out there? Also, does anyone know if the Aux L and R input...

I communicated with Joran about this: if 4-pole bandpass is too steep for an application, and you want a more gentle response, you can get 2-pole bandpass by inverting either LP1 and LP2, and combining both LP1 and LP2 at a mixer. At the mixer output each slope on the passband would be -6dB such as ...

I learned you can patch your own panner / crossfader. What you need is a control source for the panning / crossfading (unipolar makes it a little more straightforward), a multiple or stackcables, 2 VCAs, 1 reversing attenuator, an offset generator, and a mixer. Ok so: the 2 signals you want to cross...

Well, the SSF and Three Sisters have a linked design, so turning the freq knob on either also affects the tuning of the other filters. I couldn't get down with that for some reason, which is why I parted with both. You may love this feature. Something to think about.

In LO mode, can the VCFQ also act as a slew limiter? (My understanding is that the High and Low Switch positions change the frequency range)
Also, are the filter inputs and outputs DC-coupled?

I’m glad that’s helpful. One thing I got from the above video is that the original rungler could be clocked externally as well, unlike the benjolin’s rungler which is only clocked by one of its VCOs. This is just one aspect of the rung divisions that makes it a more open design overall (at the trade...

the Mungo d0 inputs are DC-coupled so it can delay CVs. Getting the timing to be synchronized to a patch requires a clock signal to the clock input, but since the delay line is always 'running' you can't store the CV indefinitely and recall it at will.

Nice, yeah seconded on Doepfer utilities. I have the A-138m matrix mixer; thinking also about their sequential switch and noise/random. Filling out an R*S Serge system

hi everyone, well I've been getting more and more into Random Source stuff, and personally I am really seeing the appeal of a unified system. Thanks luke, this is very helpful. Maybe the impedance thing accounts for why some modules, even if producing triggers of ideal length, won't trigger SSG. Thanks for this. My understanding is that a logical high at HOLD, so long as it has a sharp rising edge, will lock the voltage at SMOOTH OUT indefinitely (though there may be some droop) as long as the gate remains HIGH. Is that correct? I guess a follow up question would be (though this is much mor...

Triggering the R*S SSG

I was messing around with the R*S SSG at my local shop and I noticed that it’s pretty choosy about what kinds of trigger/gate/pulse signals it will accept at the “Sample” and “Hold” inputs. Some trigger sources seem to work all the time, some work some of the time, some never seem to work. Does anyo...
