Hello,

I just finished a project which took me some months from design, to build modules, two variants holding the modules, to this "retro" style Case.

You can see the evolutiuon in this album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/7dKgZ94mP2Hdqx2Q6

Cheers and wiggle,
Carsten
That is really awesome!

Re: Roland JX-3P noisy voice VCA and the BA662B

You might be able to steal the resonance level compensation from the MC-202 with a resistor or 2, it's the highlighted R147 in the attached file. It possibly wont work as well with the VCA (?) in the signal path in the JX-3P but worth a shot. I'd start by running a resistor from the collector of TR1...

Re: Best DIY Compressor modules?

https://feedback-modules.myshopify.com/products/squeeze-diy-kit1 This is fantastic, very smooth as it's just the reference design. If you build one I'd advise to use a few different values to get more gain out of it but totally recommend. I'm in the opinion limiters are more useful in a modular set...

Any word if the MCU for the delay will have a released BOM and the firmware released?
Would be interested in knowing this as well!
Me too, I have the PCB and panel set from Pusherman but can't do much without bom and firmware

Check out the Trans Europa from Frequency central, can almost do what you want (but a lot more).

Re: 1J17B Tube VCF eurorack

I finally finished my build and this filter is stunning! There's a massive range of sounds possible and the difference between high and low pass is so dramatic (feedback is inverted between the 2 modes but is on an attenuverter). I have to post some demos of drones that sound totally organic and liv...

Re: Doepfer A-149-4 Polyphonic Random Voltage Source

Looks like normal voltage selection "Octave range .... (0 ... 10 according to 0 ... +10V, with "Oct." control fully CCW and no external CV only 0V are generated)" I would say the closest comparison to RND STEP is the Transient Modules 4R. It's hard to tell but I'm guessing the RND is pure digital so...

Mick's a huge fan we know, just found sort of 'music videos' of the original Doom soundtrack and lots of gear here. I especially like the guitar shots since it's really hard to try and play along with. There's a few of these nicely produced videos for the soundtrack songs and the mixes are different...

Spent a few hours with the update, not sure if placebo but seems flawless across all vcos in terms of working out of the box. The problem VCO is still Synchrodyne with its 20 octaves but tried a few starting points and at some stage it just worked. I think it was sitting about 3 octaves above the lo...

Re: Maths double triggering when using buff mult

Early Maths models had no negative input protection in the EOR out, by jamming a negative offset in there you could seize up the module (poor man's hold input).

Re: Maths double triggering when using buff mult

Hmm the Conture outputs 10v gates for EON and EOC, you could try self patching and see if its the Metropolis's fault. If it cycles then the voltage wasn't the issue, could very well be a sloppy gate signal. You wouldn't think that wouldn't still be an issue but the TD-3 can't trigger a lot of module...

Is that solving a problem or is there another reason why you need to buffer gate signals?

Re: Maths double triggering when using buff mult

I dont normally use buffered mults for gate signals, unless there are pulldown resistors on the output you're not guaranteed to have a sharp edge (not sure why the double trigger though). Gates are tough and stacking them using passive mults is usually fine for 3-4 inputs. Any more use a logic modul...

Re: Frequency Central System 700 Filter DIY (MK1)

My guess from the photos looks like it's missing output buffers like the original, you'd have to add an extra 3 op-amps to bring the level up. Could try messing with the filter's gain but that would be pretty difficult. The TL071 can only be responsible for the cv, did you try adjusting frequency wh...

Re: Doepfer a-100 monster case with 1U row

That's why I decided to not do it, there is space but it's incredibly fiddly drilling. A better idea is to replace the top (and/or bottom) pieces of wood with a custom made sheet metal panel, can then fit in some utility modules. If you just want mults and passive modules can even just screw metal s...

Yes you can but drilling the holes in the bottom (or top) to move the rails is difficult due to the trimming.

Re: Behringer teases 303 clone?

FYI the gate output is missing a pulldown resistor so it may not trigger all modules reliably. If you do any mods make sure you add a 100k resistor from the gate out to ground.
