Yep, removing R54 results in the output ranging from 0v to 9.5v

Ah yeah, that's supposed to be a negative.

It's an 8HP version. I'm getting 4.14 kOhm on R54, which is supposed to be 4.2K in the 8HP right?

The minimum I can get out of it (calibrated to an offset of 0) seems to be -6.6v, and the max is 2.8v (calibrated to an offset of 4095). Here's a table with what was being output at the default calibration levels, and what I needed to set them to to get the required voltages: Test Point (V) __Defaul...

I've just built a micro Temps, everything seems to be functioning properly except for the DAC output. I can only get the 4V calibration up to 2.8V with it set to full. The rest of the calibration points are fine, and it does output as expected, just at the 2.8v ceiling rather than 4V. Any ideas?

Another thumbs up for the LSR305s here. Very natural sounding, even in my untreated room. The Adams sound nice, but I've only ever heard the T5Vs in a casual listening context, so I can't speak to if they're worth the extra cash for studio use. Not a fan of the KRK Bass sound, I did a radio show for...

I tend to get my resistors from CPC now (here in the UK) - Just search MF25 and you should get exactly what you need, all you need to do then is select value(s) What is it that makes you use CPC, if you don't mind me asking? I've only just started out myself and have been using Mouser as BOMs tend ...

Hey folks, anybody have the dimensions for this thing? Would be fun to see if it'll fit in 3U. Check out the Thonk product page linked in the first post. Looks like it would be just a bit too high to fit between rails (?) not sure how I was able to read the Thonk page multiple times and miss ...

BOM management/cross-referencing

I've got a few builds on the horizon that'll probably share quite a few parts. Does anyone have any tips or software that makes it easy to see how different BOMs match up? It'd be nice if I could have each project as a sheet in Numbers or Excel and automatically match two different resistors as 0603...

Something that would be really cool as an applet would be a random acid pattern generator. That generates simple randomized 16 step (or so) acid lines with slides and all at the push of a button. With CV and gate out. Would be a unique functionality in eurorack I think? Yes, please! That would comp...

I think the whole point of Plaits as a sequel to Braids is that it streamlines the interface, so interacting with the sounds is much more "modular" than the menu-diving that Braids could be prone to. Compared to other multi-function modules like the Disting and O_C, Plaits just flows so much better.

I guess it really depends on what you like about using analog, and why you're hesitant about digital. Personally I've been loving the sound of Plaits. It's an awful lot of variety for the HP it takes up and the price. The recent firmware update brings the lowest possible frequency down into usable L...

I received my dVCA2 today, it's a very very lo-fi sounding 2-channel VCA that rectifies and clips the input signal. Great to have a couple of spare VCAs for percussive sounds, especially at such a low price!

VCA salvaged from old stereo?

I've got an old 2.1 PC speaker setup that I've lost the cables for, so I've opened the sub/amp up to see if there's anything worthwhile I can do with it. There's a couple of 2-channel VCA ICs on the board that I think might be able mod into a VCA for eurorack. It's this older chip. I don't particula...

Am I right in thinking that this OPA2172IDR OP amp that's on the uO_C BOM will work fine with the uTemps? you mean as a substitute for the TL072s? sure, i suppose it would work ... but why not just use TL072? I was thinking of trying to streamline the Mouser order, but yeah it's not really worth it...

Can the Disting do gate logic? Something like... X = A OR B Y = A AND B ... etc It doesn't seem like it... was a bit surprised when I went looking for that functionality and couldn't find it. Isn't this doable with A4 Min/Max? Min is an AND gate and max is an OR gate. Edit: Yeah, works well for gat...
