Re: 4U / LW format questions (possible new modules)

There's not much valuable feedback I can offer, but if you do design modules for LW, please consider how tight the clearances are once you start adding multiple modules to a boat. The CLee boats I have, eg, have pretty narrow tolerances for fits, and you have to account for the power distro placemen...

Re: End-of-x outputs - musical applications?

If you have a logic module with the usual AND and OR gates, you can make your slope generator cycle on demand. I have Serge stuff, so substitute "gate out" with EOC or whatever your module calls it:

I use this a lot.

No one in Europe carries them but synthCube and Modular Addict both ship there.
That sounds heinously expensive - but I'm going back Stateside next month, and if push comes to shove, I'll just buy one over there and bring it back with me. So much work for an English guy's format ;)

CLee Boats in Europe

Is there a vendor, or does anyone in the EU offer a similar solution for Loudest Warning modules? Very few builders want to punch 34 holes in a boat, I'm learning! ;)

Ah, I could tell that wasn't the variable Q immediately. I've never had the 73 VCF, but that's very pretty.

Very nice panel, lovely sounds. Nice one.

tIB, wow. Wherever I live, I incorporate the area's sounds into my music - often consciously, but unconsciously too. For how long have you lived in a jungle, right in the middle of Macau? I love this. I love it when patches sound like field recordings. Fuckin' lush, man. I've already picked it up so...

Re: Harvestman setups

I heard a great interview with Scott on Darwin Grosse's podcast a few years ago, and he spoke eloquently and at length about his front panel designs, muscle memory and performing in low light (and Don Buchla's influence on his decisions). These photos reminded me of the conversation, and god damn, i...

I agree-- before I had the APROs I relied on NCOM as an offset generator (how quickly I have forgotten)! Thanks for explaining!
It'll feature in the next video =)

Re: R*S Rhythm/Dual VCA/÷N

Just last night I was thinking about how frustrating the ÷com is, in that it's hard-wired to the comparator's output with no input of its own. My annoyance at that was enough to make this a compelling module. I don't mind it-- you'd always need to send it through a comparator first, wouldn't you? A...

Re: [BUILD] Stroh Stereo Output Mixer

The pcb is 3 inches wide, the same width as the 2 frac panel. It's simply attached with 2 m3 standoffs. My crappy camera lens is fucking with your perspective. But I probably should point out that because of the size of the pcb it won't fit in the far right or far left spot of a bugbrand frame. Ah,...

FWIW, I’m pretty sure Colleen is French. Otherwise, I hope everyone’s limiting speculation to forums and giving Colleen and Émilie some online space. Colleen's Bandcamp says Spain. I have a DIY Clouds, and I can't really think of what would make it better. What kind of update/improvements do people...

Re:

It depends how you build it. The one I built will not fit in a bug frame as the deepest part of the module, the frac power header/plug, is down the center of the module where the bug power distro is. If you used a 5 pin mta-100 power header in the euro footprint instead this wouldn't be a problem. ...

I really hope they bring these two new sections to euro as well. Re: 4U / LW format questions (possible new modules)

EDIT: One other thing I wanted to add. I only sell DIY. If you are going to sell DIY and commercially built consider 2 different panels. That way the 2nd hand market will always know if a module for sale was DIY or not. You don't want someone pawning off a poorly built DIY as one of your commercial...

Re: R*S Rhythm/Dual VCA/÷N

I'm curious about how the "off, early or late" thing works. It's an effect I have made with slope generators and sometimes comparators, but I don't quite see the controls here. Like are the 16 stages behind the panel somehow mixed into the 8 stages on the panel? Huh.
