Re: What does rock solid build quality mean to You?

anodized aluminum panels if a module cost more than $300 and it isn't a vintage part-for-part clone or DIY kit, it should be using surface mount components. there should not be any solder rosin/sticky residue on the back of the PCB. even if manufactures build their modules by hand, the pcbs should ...

Re: 303 style sequenzing .......for the euro-modular ??? what works best ???

the Autobot from acidlab.de should work if are committed to having something in eurorack form. I think the Bassline 3 is more bang for your buck because it has the same 1v/o CV, Gate, and Accent CV Gate outputs + you can take it with you anywhere and compose on headphones when you're away from your ...

Re: How do people sync audio and video when making videos of modular synths?

Touch-CV_1.jpg if you can get your hands on a circuit bent video mixer with CV inputs, you can use a video cable to patch the video output to it's own input and you'll have some really cool rainbow video feedback patterns. Just patch any CV output from your modules to the CV inputs and you'll have ...

Re: Doepfer a-184-1

The ring mod section is great for creating bell like/metallic tones. If you patch the ring mod output into a spring reverb you can get some very cool machine type sounds. The a-184-1 is a great Sample + Hold w/ a built in slew, but you'll need to have a module that can provide a white noise source t...

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS

I'm planning on getting the Multi-Envelope. Now I'm a bit put off by all these stories of needing to have a "matching" power-supply. You don’t need a ‘matching’ power supply, you need a power supply with good linear regulation. The Doepfer PSU2 was a true, linear power supply, and my first choice f...

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS

I filled out the online form and just heard back from Tom after commenting on this thread. I'm going to go ahead and try using the new PSU and if the problem persists, Tom said I could send it their U.S. technician. I'll let you know how it goes :)

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS

My Synthrotek Case Power plays nice with all my modules except for the Verbos Electronics Touchplate Keyboard. Sometimes the module spits out random quantized voltages every time a key is pressed. After reading this thread, I suspect the problem may not be the Verbos module, but instead my non-linea...
