Re: MFOS Keyboard Controller Sample&Hold

Just a thought: If you pulled out Q3 does the charging cap charge at all? At this point I would say theoretically you could start troubleshooting by subtracting elements from the breadboard until something changes. At work sometimes I have to play a game called "Which one of these 83 identical wires...

If you would like some (wiring) photos of the back of the unit, let me know.
Thanks much!!

Yeah if you could then I feel confident enough to undertake the build.

Muad, could you take a picture of the front of the panel for me if it would be convenient? thank you!

Re: Bridechamber CGS Quad Wave Multiplier (again)

Are you talking about the Wave Multiplier triple width DOTCOM module that Scott sold on Bridechamber? I do have one. I could share pictures of the wiring on the back if you like (PM me) . Here's the front panel (sideways unfortunately!). Oops! looks like you may have forgotten to insert the picture...

Bridechamber CGS Quad Wave Multiplier (again)

Does anyone know where I can find any panel wiring diagrams, BOMs and schematics for Scott Dayo's Bridechamber CGS Quad Wave Multipler PCB set? This is a combination of the CGS67 and 29. Elby is hosting the CGS67 and CGS29 documentation, but all of the links I found in old threads about this specifi...

Re: CGS / bridechamber wave multiplier with RM question

Apologies for the resurrection reply on this very old topic. I've been eyeing these PCBs for sale on SynthCube for some time but I keep coming back to this topic. The external links in this thread for documentation are dead Did anyone ever find the complete schematics and panel wiring diagrams for t...

Get an LF444 and see if there is any difference I would say

The LF444n and LF444AN both work.

Re: MFOS Keyboard Controller Sample&Hold

It does seem like a similar problem, doesn’t it. You are correct though, my issue would be that the voltage would droop until it was well into the negative voltage range. The S&H circuit is terribly sensitive to even the slightest leakage path. There is probably a leakage path to V+ from the cap. Fi...

it is a korg MS20 filter. Paul Perry is a muffs user. I'm pretty sure it can oscillate. there is a way to look at a circuit and calculate if it will self oscillate. if the loop gain > 1 it will oscillate. straight out of a book on filters.

I have a Frostwave Resonator. It self oscillates, has a volume knob so works well for both synth and guitar. I use it as a send/return on my modular.

Frostwave Resonator Clone

I have been thinking about building a clone of the Frostwave Resonator but I wanted to find out more about these from people who own(ed) one of these. Can it Self-Oscillate? Is this more of a guitar-level device or a synth-level device or does it filter and outputs whatever levels it is recieves? Do...

FAQ about modern recording basics for the N00B (?)

Hi! I dug around in this subforum a bit but did not find the "N00B's FAQ guide" type of Topic that I was looking for for modern basic recording for a home studio. I have never really been into recording music at home and my only piece of recording gear I own is a handheld BOSS Micro-BR ( which is a ...

Re: Charge pumps and tubes...not sure where to start

This circuit can be used to make 40v dc to power most tube circuits by using 2.7k for R1 and 100k for R2. Feed it 12v dc. This is v. similar to the circuit used in most R and RK modules and the S-2000/D-2000. https://theorycircuit.com/boost-converter-circuit-using-mc34063-ic/ It will not run thyrat...

Re: Ring Modulator pedals?

I just pre-ordered Adventure Audio’s Outer Rings V2. I had a lot of fun with the original at KnobCon 2019 I knew I would have to cough up the dough when they re-released it. CV of the modulation rate and the carrier rate was wild and I imagine what I could do with an envelope follower going to eithe...

Re: Drone Boxes: Crickets, Cicadas, Bees, which insect is best?

The AM modulated gated sync signal is like the thing that synchronizes the beginning of a communication. It is AM gated at two different frequencies an octave apart. 1/2 speed if you prefer. This I believe is ideal for maximum distance under all conditions. The upward tone sweep can be used to crea...

Wow, this is great sounding!

Is the TM-3 closer to the RK-4 or the RK-7 in function (and would you need four of them to achieve what you are doing here?)
