Re: And for the next one, A Kobol

Well you can say that again sduck. What a machine.

It would be poor choice if they don't provide this in module form, which is very likely to be the case, as with exception of the poly D, they go with one form factor and move on to the next clone.

Re: RIP MF DOOM

This hit me hard. My favorite lyricist. Was wondering what last minute bullshit 2020 had to drop. Crazy that it was able to remain closed to the public for 2 months. Glad that the family got to mourn in piece. RIP to the one and only METAL FACE, a.k.a. METAL FINGERS,.a.k.a. MF DOOM, a.k.a. your favo...

Re: Herbs and Stones Liquid Foam

Hear, hear! Totally agree Nelson. The Liquid Foam refuses to be conformed. I see that now. It's a device that thrives on experimentation, and chaffs at the idea of being a simple acid box. It goes deeper than that. I too have been messing with the LFO rates and excessive patching. It's starting to g...

Re: Herbs and Stones Liquid Foam

Got mine in last week. Right there with you. It's raw, and like you said, is good and bad. I really dig the sound, and the encouragement to experiment. I wish the clock in was a little bit better implemented, and also that this is very much a machine you're going to want to record your sessions with...

Dolly is pure awesomeness. The beat on Jolene slams so hard. One of the best beats in music yet alone country western.

Re: things that would get your Muff license revoked

Eurorack is overrated.
There are way too many drones.
Cats are annoyingly selfish animals.
Just because it's made out of wood and crystals doesn't make it unique.
I run Platts into Rings, into Elements, into Clouds, and then into a series of pedals.

Re: Most aggressive and brutal distortion ever

Ohmicide is my go to distortion. It is so versatile and has the ability to make the most destructive sounds I've heard. I wish it had a hardware equivalent. When not using a cpu, I tend to stack a few digitech, dod, elektron, and boss distortion pedals routed through a Lyra.

In any event, the esoteric cable went back to the store, and the studio still uses ring main (sometimes called Romex) cable for its speakers.
I never thought to use Romex. I'm going to try that out.

I wonder if I can get them to some how compete for my affection 🤔. They certainly do a good job making you feel appreciated. When Grant calls to update me on something, you'd swear we'd been friends since high school.

Re: What new booty did you buy?

I've sold and re-acquired the Lyra twice now. It's a one trick sort of pony, but sure does that trick well. It's just so much of a character, and a modern day classic too. Try running the bassline through it and see what type of chaos you get out of it. As for me I picked up one of these. zoom_zh6ab...

Re: What's your take on the BEHRINGER MODEL D? Seen a lot for sale recently.

I certainly agree with you. I have a SE01, so that was one of the motivators to trade the Model D away, but I'll most likely pick another one up in the future. They really are hitting it out of the park with these clones. The Pro1 actually performs better than the og, and is, so far, way more reliab...
