Another vote for the MS20m. It’s a great tool.

Re: can the dfam psytrance?/ dfam,m32,subharmonicon Good Combi for krautrock/ psytrance?

What sort of psy artists are inspiring your project? I did a ton of psy in the 90s/ early 2000s, and I remember mainly heavily modified 909 and Pearl Syncussion for kicks, and then Juno 60/106, Korg Prophecy and a lot of Waldorf! I’ve been messing around a bit again with it between releases of my ma...

Re: What modules are you using for interesting percussive sequencing

Im doing the Vermona Random Rhythm into a RCD, and a sequential switch. It’s clocked via a BSP going into a Wogglebug. I can get some crazy stuff going with it.

Sounds like a similar situation as the Korg MS20 plugin vs a real MS20.

Is the Orgone Accumulator still available? If it is, it’s one of the best modules ever. If it’s not, find one and pay whatever you can for it!!

3A - the greatest automatic vibrato anywhere! speeds up, not just fades in.
YES! I don’t want to sidetrack the thread though! It is phenomenal!

Re: So I’ve bought a Korg Rhythm 55 KR-55

Thanks everyone! I like that Tubbutec idea. Do you have one? Would be interested to see how it performs in the wild, in regards to reliability. Anselmi- that’s very cool. So it needs a very specific trigger. I’m wondering if the trigger out on the TR09 would be a suitable clock source. dksynth- keep...

So I’ve bought a Korg Rhythm 55 KR-55

Yes it’s a preset drum machine, but the snare (and the hats), are fantastic. The early DM stuff is riddled with it. My question is this. Can it be modded with a trigger in. I don’t mind trigger out to BSP, to whatever, but having a late 70s drum machine as my master clock makes me nervous. Would lov...

Re: Does anyone have Cubase for Atari?

The Atari Cubase dongles show up on eBay a few times a year. It’s worth creating a saved search to watch for one. The patched version of Atari Cubase 2.x that floats around the internet is a waste of time. It crashes far too often to be usable, and if you have a hard disk attached to your Atari it ...

Re: Results are in! Eurorack Essential Features Survey 2020

As the comments you *did* receive revealed, there was too little choice given to be an effective study. Not essential / not useful being conflated as one example seen more than once in those comments. Anyone with an uderstanding of such things knows that you can get the results you 'want' by how th...

Re: SH-1 vs SH-101

I have an SH3a with the ladder filter (not the diode filter), and it can sound very Roland but also can get some Moogish “woody” qualities out of it due obviously to the filter. I’ve had mine modded with CV and Gate and it does all sorts of fun stuff within my music.

Re: Console Routing in the modern age

I have an Allen&Heath System 8. 16 ins, 16 tape outs etc.. I have it connected to 2 Neutrik patch bays. I’m usually not ever recording a stereo pair at a time, so I’m debating selling it, getting 2 channels of high end preamp, keeping the patchbay so I’m not plugging and unplugging and save myself a...

Does anyone have Cubase for Atari?

And are they willing to sell it plus the dongle? I’m dying to get this thing up and going again. I have all the discs, but don’t have the bloody dongle. They seem to be bleeding impossible to find. Unless one of you have an inside scoop, this thing will sit here and rot (which I don’t want at all). ...
