Re: What Amp / Monitors do you use in your home for Synth?

yamaha hs sries - theres a good reason you see em in every youtube demo video on the planet... There was a time when pretty much every studio I worked in had a pair of NS10's. The reason offered by the studio managers was "well, everybody else uses them", and not "they are the best nearfield monito...

Re: has anyone else considered modular synths like this?

i... ...think that while it's amusing to conceptualize and classify types of functions and kinds of modules, my mind ends up going pretty free-form once i'm actually using the tools. that's an important point - it is essential to be aware that you can go off label - the use of slew as lpf or whatev...

has anyone else considered modular synths like this?

i've been using this concept to navigate my generativ patches recenly but i can't be the first to come up with the concept - does anyone else look at it like this? "the basic building blocks of synthesis only fall into a few categories – comparators [cv into trig/gate], sequencers/env followers/sync...

The Asys image is useless..Any chance you could do it again? I still have my Cornish gear from nearly 20yrs back myself.
it's had a few upgrades over the years as well as custom case and power:

It means Your bank manager loves you. I’m on my second order of cables this month for a total of 40.... (barely enough at half a glance) And my 3rd order of modules this month for a total of 6. I built an 18u 84hp case only in January....... I am already contemplating how I will go about extending ...

needed 8 trig outs and at least 10 cv outs - 1 tig riot for trigs, 1 trig riot slave to drive a z8k and 2 lots of freq xentral multipoles to epamd thee cv's even further - and it fits into 1 row of 104hp with room to spare!
