Re: MIDI Clock Jitter Tests
The RYTM is absolutely usable in a hybrid setup. The poster above you doesn't really know what they are talking about. I use a RYTM and a MD together. Personally I use the ERM clock now for sync and they sync up quite well. The MD does have some of the tightest timing I have ever seen, but I can sti...

Re: Sherman Filterbank love?
Ive gassed for one of these forever. Only thing holding me back is its mono. Stereo and I buy (Yes I know you can buy 2). They did sell a rackmount stereo one - costs a bomb though as its basically two in one! Also the 2 can stereo-ize mono signals as it has a separate out for each filter. Yeah the...

And I don't think anything comes close to the Rytm sequencer, TR8s included, in terms of parameter locks, odd measures, polyrhythms etc. Correct me if I'm wrong. I only have the Rytm. dont get me wrong, the AR is fun, but i personally dont like being boxed into the elektron workflow paradigm. it ha...

In my experience they don't unless you are an awesome engineer and know how to mix really well and mic amps at an extremely detailed level.sleestack808 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 7:53 pmEven if you are micing maybe one amp and using a couple high end synths. Do they matter?

Re: Roland Verselab MV-1
Not to totally bash Roland, they made a great machine with the Tr8s, which I love. I just hate the UI of their machines so I usually tune up sounds in the Tr8S and then sample into an elektron box for sequencing and arranging. if you already tuned up your drum sounds in the tr8s why wouldnt you jus...

Re: Roland Verselab MV-1
This product is not really for producers. It looks like a great fit for songwriters as they can crank out demos with this thing. I watched the video and they put in a lot of vocal effect options so to me it is clearly geared towards that type of work. Most songwriters I know who write for labels are...

Re: Monooprice 25 key midi controller
Monoprice is pretty legit. Here in SoCal it's pretty much "the" place most techies shop for cables and has slowly grown a following for quality cheap audio cables and peripherals. 90% of my audio/visual cabling is from Monoprice, and their HDMI is top notch and considerably better at $5-10 a cable ...

Re: When do you think hybrid users will have more options for stable MIDI clock?
I really wish ES would release a SPDIF USAMO which didn't need messing about with a skiff. And ideally, also the rumored USAMI input version. Having an 8x8 sample-accurate midi chain would just end this problem. Yeah, I hear you there. I do have a modular and use Pam’s for clock on my modular and g...

Re: When do you think hybrid users will have more options for stable MIDI clock?
IMO simulataneous hybrid pc/hardware is just a bad idea. Start in hardware, record it, arrange it and then add your soft bits. Kind of agree, but the recording into the DAW part is where the jitter kicks in. How so? Sequence any hardware with cv/gate or low jitter hardware midi sequencer and record...

When do you think hybrid users will have more options for stable MIDI clock?
One of the most infamous pains of hybrid workflow is MIDI jitter from the PC to the hardware. Yes, you can spend a lot of money on an ERM multiclock, and its a great box but I feel like we should have better and cheaper options, maybe some that are offered by the DAW as optional hardware, for exampl...

Re: If you had to pick one OSC for a small system. Which one would that be?
You can do a lot with rulosmutantes, a max4live plugin I didn’t know that software was included when you said ”regular synths in [your] collection” but ok. In any case the Rulos Mutantes is based on the Plaits code so what you are saying is that Plaits isn’t unique enough compared to.. Plaits. :hmm...

Re: If you had to pick one OSC for a small system. Which one would that be?
My logic is this - plaits is awesome but didnt really have a unique sound to it that made me want to use it over other regular synths in my collection. Is that really true, that you can make all the sounds Plaits Is capable of with other synths? Some of the algorithms are quite unique. Like the spe...

Re: If you had to pick one OSC for a small system. Which one would that be?
I had a real similar setup to OP with plaits and the bia as my oscs. I opted to pull out a lot of stuff in it and make it a more focused module. The goal would be to mangle samples into pads and lead lines. So i got a morphagene, maths and pams. Kept my ssf Filter and so far the bia has stayed. My l...

I think pams will do all of that including wiggling the knobs. I cant think of the setting you want them on off hand but im pretty sure there is one for gate length.

Re: Best Modules to use with Morphagene
Sorry for the bump but I have some questions. If you all are using the MG in stereo, do you use a stereo filter? Thats one thing I dont quite get. I have the MMF filter. Or are you all mainly using the MG in mono? My setup is this - I sequence with Ableton or an SQ1 and send into my Intellijel Palet...

Re: Is 64 steps really enough?
Yeah thats the thing - editing on a super long step sequence kind of sucks. Plus I dont feel limited since I just chain together sequences if I needed that anyway. When I make a sequence it’s because I either have a rhythm pattern or a musical idea that I want to modulate and Evolve in other ways be...

it can also do drones by just feeding the Trigger in with an audio rate square wave. This results in something that I find sounds somewhere between wavetable and 8-bit textures. Re: Announcing ALM017 - Pamela's NEW Workout
Setting the QT parameter to any value other than "NO" quantizes the voltage leaving the respective channel with respect to the scale selected. It is applied last. It doesn't quantize the CV1 input. Selecting CV1 (or CV2) as the value of the quantize parameter of a channel will select the scale from...

It's still in beta though, isn't it? I'm assuming an updated manual will appear once the firmware is properly finished. Yes manual will be updated when non beta firmware released (hopefully soon!). If your needing a manual then you probably shouldn't be using Beta firmware in the first place ..!!! ...

I played with it a little last night and the CV-1 input seems to be doing something but I don't really understand what yet. I'd also like to understand all the scale controls.
