Re: BEST VCF at the moment ??

That's a rather difficult question because hp size / price may be factors here. You'll see tons and tons of racks with things like Ripples or Polaris in them and those are fine VCFs, just more of convenient for their size/function/cost considerations, instead of being balls-to-wall most complex and...

Re: Nerdsynth NerdSEQ - eurorack tracker/sampler

Just getting familiar with this thing and I wasn't able to figure this out. Is there a way to remotely stop the song so that all the gates close? The equivalent of hitting shift stop but by way of an external voltage? Problem being when the clock source stops (Pam), NerdSEQ sequences stop progressi...

Re: New WMD Performance Mixer

Hey probably a dumb question but ... I’m using DB 25 expander into Fireface 802 . I have channels 1-6 and master running into balanced inputs on the back , works perfectly and sounds great ! Now I don’t have channels expander and just want to get 2 stereo channels in , could I use db25 to unbalance...

Re: MFB HH/CY-522

I've got the HH/CY-522 and I'm not terribly impressed with it. My main issue is that the Tune and Decay knobs for the HH/OH really don't do much - the changes are subtle, especially for Tune. And the CY sound is old school but somehow not charming either. I haven't used CY on anything yet. Beyond t...

Re: USB Power from busboard

I just routed a slot in the side of my case to mount my midi expander along with the WMD DB25 out. I will be using threaded inserts that are made for 3m screws so that I can mount the modules without stripping the wood.

MFB HH/CY-522

Is anybody familiar with this? 13432.f.jpg I am having a hard time finding any much info on it. There seem to be no sound demos aside from people using the older MFB 5222 Drum Computer. :despair: I understand that it has been updated and expanded upon for the modular environment. I am very curious a...

If you CV a crossfader with a pulse wave, then use two other waveforms from the same VCO as the A and B inputs to the crossfader, then adjusting the pulse width is like sliding a window across the two waveforms, one reflected and one transmitted.

As I played my Odessa module yesterday, I turned an interesting corner. There I found an example of the formant-like sounds that Odessa can make. Deep into the patch and short on time, I couldn't re-patch to focus on this sonic area. Chaos and randomness was driving much of the patch, including Ode...

Bumping this thread to see if anyone has any experience with the Trogotronic PSU? Crunching the numbers here and it seems like this is a pretty good deal if it's reliable. Otherwise, I'm looking at the TTA Zeus Studio Buss system, which would probably end up being more than $800 for the 18U case I'...

Mylar posted a video using the ADDAC bridge for pitch CV and it looks great. Personally I like the amount of signals you can send with the 213. And I really like the possibility to have the modules all over the place with the "behind the scenes" expanders. I also have a friend who uses the Doepfer ...

Regarding the eventual update, here are a couple things that I think would be really cool to see: It would be awesome if there was a mode where the octave knobs controlled the semi-tone data. I often find myself wanting to transpose multiple melodies at once. An ability to use the Slew Gate jack wit...

Quick question. I do not know too much about it, but have learned that phase correlation can be a problem when mixing in stereo. Is this module supposed to help alleviate that issue at all?

Any word on when the Ultra Heterodyne might be released? The modular grid link says Late 2018...so it's really anyone's guess and might even be on the back burner at the moment. At the recent SSF demo at Control Andrew said he's got a mixer, a small oscillator (to modulate the Zero Point) and an up...
