Eventide H8000FW...

I wish I had H9000, though. Supposedly easier to program.
I doubt it sounds substantially better for meat and potatoes algos, however, it can do more at once and probably loads faster.

Re: Asymmetrical Clipping Pedals

That 1Mohm input impedance is a major ingredient in the sauce... These new X series Boss pedals do have that spec, as does the Neunaber.

I have two (2) buffered bypass pedals in my chain, usually. I prefer mostly true bypass, but having one or two buffered bypass is a good thing, I have found.

Re: Asymmetrical Clipping Pedals

Interesting... I bought a BOSS DS-1X and a Neunaber Neuron. I love them both. They are far away from fuzzy sounding, which I don't like... The Neuron is definitely kicking my Seymour Duncan Palladium out of bed, so I will post it up for sale on Reverb soon. I originally bought that at the same time ...

Run Your CV through a VCA, gated. How you accomplish desired results is up to the utility modules you choose to use. Many ways to skin that cat.

Anyone have experience with the Eventide Rose? I feel like I gotta have one. I certainly do but I am biased since I work for Eventide. Happy to answer any questions or direct you to any resources you may want to hear/see. Maybe just one question.... what makes it special? Rose was designed to sound...

How is everyone enjoying their slice of the Controlavirus Plandemic? I can't help thinking about how this has dicked me out of a TE-2. LOL This beautiful little beasty is years away from shipping There isn't even one prototype built much less any pipeline for delivering on preorders It's going to b...

Curious how this would compare to the SSL Radio Music module. I have one of those already, but...there’s always another slot to fill... :hihi: I am thinking that the disting has more content and perhaps more capacity, but I don’t know? :hmm: Disting EX is 8 part polyphonic WAV player. Re: non clicky envelope techniques?

The VCA's response curve is important. I am not sure if the VCA's response curve does make a difference on that glitch, and if it does, how it does? The S1 can switch between lin/exp envelope shape. Actually the S1 is clicking a lot, much more than the FRXS for example... maybe this is a wrong cali...

Hello Thorsday, If you have already made a batch of Disting Mk4s in MU, then I am certainly interested in purchasing one. If you are going to re-tool and move toward the EX instead - please put me down for one of those as well :) ~R I only have the prototype in the photo. These ports are slow going...

Haha... I did not see that coming. A DeuxDisting. DuDisting. I'll stick with my old-fangled onesie Mk4 for the times being... Awesome. I would love to get one when you have them done! Thanks... However... Since Disting EX has been announced, I don't think these would do so hot. Does everyone agree ...

So I find myself lacking any form of audio recording at the moment, I sold my old interface and was going to pick up a new MOTU M4 but due to this pesky pandemic they are all sold out at the moment. So I have some time to maybe rethink my plans. I was going to go for a mixer so I can get all the ha...

Re: Zerosum Inertia - Metasonix 5U on Reverb.Com

The tubes in the 6550 oscillator... Circuit must have been biased super cold... Tubes get hot. I arrived to think tubes in synth modules are silly... Not enough current... Plate voltage should be higher. Makes me imagine guitar pedals that take 9V, and internally boost to 18V. 5U should have a disto...

Awesome sounding filter... Marienberg Devices has my money when they are dotcom standardized, and, perhaps Noisebug brings them in stock? Dealer support can be a beautiful thing.

Zerosum Inertia - Metasonix 5U on Reverb.Com

Some expensive used offerings. Zerosum Inertia was not around long enough to catch on... What's the deal with these modules? They seem like patch cable insulation melters to me. Tubes outboard... Tubes inboard would make for lack of thermal dissipation... Bad all around. Or just keep them as top row...

Re: Passive Mult with status led's?

Some of the more recent SMT leds are (compared to classic leds, at least) unbelievably efficient, literally blindingly bright at currents that wouldn't even have effected a faint glow of an old school led. Go for some of those and you'll be fine. Neat! Someone should make one of those but like a Do...

Re: I'm addicted to Phasers.

ADA Final Phase is the best phaser ever in my opinion. Unforgivingly dynamic, just after a compressor, in front of a distortion and overdrive and a high headroom amp... It's sensational. I’ve wanted to try one..! I didn’t know they existed until I was looking at the A/DA Flangers. We all know that ...
