Re: Your favourite traditional LFO and VCO shape?

1. Sine wins the LFO category for me. they feel really natural to me

2. Saw wins VCO if you get a low pass filter after :) an unfiltered Saw wave hurts my ears haha but just a little (or a lot) of filtering is so nice

Pressure Points + Brains 8 or 12 step sequence trick with a 1U module

Hey everyone I’m looking to patch up the pressure points + brains 8 or 12 step sequence patch using a 1U module for the switch. I don’t want to tie up my maths for this patch and I have all this 1U room to do this. I am a bit of a novice but I found the 1U Signum module from Nonlinear Circuits. It i...

Re: Manis Iteritas complimentary oscillators / sound sources

I like to use my pittsburgh voltage lab oscillators with it. you can get to some insane territory texture wise with those two and it doesn’t HAVE to be abrasive. complex analog oscillator + manis iteritas is too much fun

that matrix mixer looks cool. no knobs is interesting to me. i definitely don’t really understand it haha. between that and the cascading logic it looks like i’m gonna have to add some instruo beyond just my ochd haha The jacks down the left hand side are 6 mixer inputs, the jacks along the bottom ...

Re: Voltage Research Laboratory!! Pitt Mod......

A few of the recent Pittsburgh Modular Analog Delay Units around with peeling front panels already. Is the build quality of the VRL better? can you link that? i haven’t seen that myself. the finish on my VRL is the same i assume and it feels robust to me. it feels better than my make noise PCB face...

Re: Voltage Research Laboratory!! Pitt Mod......

I’ve looked at mine with a scope some and the warp seems to kinda bring part of the waveform down so if can be folded. it’s a super cool sound to fold a square and saw. the other warped waveforms are cool variations as well. i can’t say if the wavefolding goes deeper as I don’t have those modules bu...

What would you guys say is the archetype of module most affected by a tube in it? VCA is my guess but I could see it really affecting a filter

to be honest i don’t really know what tubes ACTUALLY do in a circuit besides make my 6505 sound badass lmao

Re: Going to build a high quality case/psu/bussboard

I will base the case on an old chest of drawers, but I want top notch power supply chain. what makes trogotronic's power systems better than others? asking because I have no knowledge of this. the price to power ratio. you get 10A (which can be higher if you want) and is almost 10x stronger than th...

I would seriously look at trogotronic’s power systems. i don’t think you will be able to beat them.
